Also, after thinking on this for a bit, even though Xuanzhi has turned back time, the future which happened is still the past of the ‘actual time’ and so there is a possibility than people can get their past memories back, or it’s just locked somewhere in. Henhen telling about Jixue’s death says a lot about it. It’s like their subconscious mind, which makes me wonder, souls can’t be replaced for sure, so it’s all the same souls, but it’s been taken from death and its memories erased. Now seeing the minor spoiler down, I feel super scared now RIP
