Transmigrating into the Reborn Male Lead's Ex-BoyfriendCh92 - Salute and Hold Hands

Song Xuanhe was taken aback for a moment. He couldn’t help but turn to seriously size up Song Xuanlin. When he saw the other’s face, however, his mind blanked. Song Xuanlin’s lips were slightly curled up, unprecedentedly relaxed.

It was like he had finally said the words that had been hidden in his heart all these years, or like after much hesitation, he’d finally taken his first step onto the path he’d wanted to take. It was like a heavy load had been lifted from his mind.

“But, ‘I’ don’t need a big brother anymore.” Song Xuanhe’s gaze fell down before he looked away. When Song Xuanlin looked at him, he kept his own gaze directed forward. His lips were slightly pursed as he quietly said, “A question suddenly popped up in my mind.”

“Tell me.” mjJXV1

“You should know that Xiao Yuanmu and I didn’t get together because we liked each other. We started dating because I used the orphanage to threaten him. Afterwards….what if the situation between Xiao Yuanmu and I hadn’t turned out like it did? What if I had forced him and bullied him, making him hate me to the bone? What if Xiao Yuanmu had declared that I was the person he loathed the most after his return to the Xiao Family? What would you have done then?”

Song Xuanlin’s relaxed expression faded. His gaze grew heavy. “You think that I’m saying these things to you because of the Xiao Family?”

Song Xuanhe didn’t respond to the question. He simply repeated his own. “What would you have done?”

Song Xuanlin stared at him for a few seconds. He then cast his gaze away and said, “If you had done that—bullying and forcing someone—it doesn’t matter who it is. I would not approve of your actions.”

BoyKUH

“Would you have opposed it?” Song Xuanhe turned to look at him. “Would you have stopped me?”

Song Xuanlin opened his mouth, but no words came out.

If he hadn’t suddenly developed this feeling of responsibility as an older brother, and his impression of Song Xuanhe had still been as mild as it used to be, would he have stopped Song Xuanhe upon seeing him do something that he thought was wrong?

Song Xuanlin wanted to say yes. However, when he thought about how they used to keep out of each other’s business, he knew that the answer was no. JZTfQY

In the past, he might have said a word or two upon seeing something like that. However, ever since he and Song Xuanhe had had a big fight during Song Xuanhe’s teen years, he had stopped meddling in his younger brother’s life. As long as it hadn’t been anything that the Song Family couldn’t handle, he hadn’t been willing to waste his energy on it.

To tell the truth, Song Xuanlin had seen many acts of someone “forcing another person” after becoming an adult. But, he had only ever thought that it was just some roleplay that couples got up to whenever people his age had brought it up. This was because he had thought that no one would ever break the law, just because they were interested in someone. At most, they would use their identity or wealth to awe and entice the other party. After all, even people like them feared the law.

Therefore, the rich second-generation had thought that the people who “succeeded” in “forcing someone to be with them” were actually engaged in consensual roleplay, or the other party had simply been playing hard-to-get. Although some people looked down on this, no one would meddle in someone else’s affairs. Song Xuanlin had thought that Xiao Yuanmu and Song Xuanhe’s relationship was like this. jXgL5T

If Xiao Yuanmu hadn’t had his current accomplishments and identity, Song Xuanlin believed that even if Song Xuanhe had done shameful things to Xiao Yuanmu, the Song Family wouldn’t have interfered at all. At most, they would have just given him a warning. After all, they would have thought that Xiao Yuanmu wouldn’t have been able to cause any big waves.

But if it had been as Song Xuanhe had said—if Xiao Yuanmu had his current identity and  a grudge against Song Xuanhe and the Song Family…what would Song Xuanlin have dome to Song Xuanhe?

An image appeared in Song Xuanlin’s mind. Thinking about how he had thought and done things in the past, he came to a conclusion: he would have temporarily abandoned Song Xuanhe and protected the Song Family instead.

It wouldn’t have just been him either. Song Xuanlin believed that even their grandfather, who usually loved Song Xuanhe dearly, would have made the same decision. TNUPsq

It was like he had said to Song Xuanhe in the past. Song Xuanhe should take responsibility for his own actions. If he was to one day bring disaster upon the Song Family, the only person who would be willing to give up everything to save him would be their mother.

“You wouldn’t, would you?” Song Xuanhe shrugged, his tone indolent but covertly piercing. “You told me before. If something happened to me, the only person who would give up anything to save me would be Mother.”

“That’s right,” Song Xuanlin admitted calmly, “According to what you said, I think that I would have temporarily abandoned you.”

Song Xuanhe raised a brow. “Temporarily?” B6DMPO

“First, I would have pacified the Xiao Family’s rage and diverted everyone’s gaze away from the Song Family. When everything was over, I would have come to take you home.”

“What if I couldn’t go home?” Song Xuanhe asked, “The Xiao Family’s rage—there are many people who want to get closer to the Xiao Family or even just throw stones at me while I’m down. If you had chased me out of the Song Family, and I lost my last bit of support, do you really think that I could survive all those people targeting me until you could take me home?”

“Obviously.” Song Xuanlin sounded sure of it. “Even if you were driven away, it’s not like we would have cut off your resources. Moreover, even if people had wanted to kick you while you’re down, they wouldn’t have actually dared to hurt you. At most, they’d hurt you psychologically. However, you would have deserved that. It would probably have been a good thing for you to suffer a bit outside and learn your lesson before coming home.”

Song Xuanlin didn’t hesitate and appeared confident. This made Song Xuanhe fall silent. In the past, he had felt a bit conflicted when it came to Song Xuanlin, who had never involved himself in the original host’s life or death, and the Song Family. According to what the System had said, it was because he had the original host’s memories. Therefore, he couldn’t remain objective when judging how big of a part the Song Family had played in the original host’s death. Now that he’d heard what Song Xuanlin had said, he realized that there was nothing wrong with the Song Family’s, and in particular, Song Xuanlin’s methods. B7YcdF

They didn’t know and would never have expected that Lu Chao and Zhou Rong would inject the original host with a highly addictive drug. And, they definitely wouldn’t have expected that the original host, who had a weak willpower, would walk straight towards his death because of his drug addiction.

If it hadn’t been for Zhou Rong and them, perhaps the original host’s fate would have turned out the way Song Xuanlin had predicted. He would probably have learned from his suffering outside.

“But, that kind of stuff won’t ever happen,” Song Xuanlin said, “You’re not as terrible as I had previously thought. You’re also not the kind of person who would completely disregard someone else’s opinions. This means that you and Xiao Yuanmu would never really fall out like that. Therefore, what you had said will never come true.”

Song Xuanhe was pulled out of his thoughts. When he heard what the other had said, he couldn’t help but laugh. The complicated emotion that had just bubbled up in his chest was washed away. He stood up and patted Song Xuanlin on the shoulder. “I’m going to head in first.” eICGj7

Song Xuanlin looked up, staring after the other. All he saw was the image of the other’s back illuminated beneath the light.

*

Song Xuanhe had wanted to head straight back to his apartment. Unfortunately, when he reached the living room, he encountered Song Guochao, who was holding something in his hand.

He didn’t have any intention of acknowledging the other. He glanced at the older man and was prepared to brush past him. However, Song Guochao called his name. For once, there was glee on his face, which had been perpetually dark as of late. There was also a complicated emotion in his expression. Aux4OC

“I received an invitation just now.” Song Guochao looked at Song Xuanhe. He still felt some disbelief and shock as he recalled the contents of the invitation. “It’s from the Xiao Family.”

Song Xuanhe paused, a bad premonition springing up in his chest.

As expected, his bad premonition came true a second later.

“They’ve invited our family to their banquet in America,” Song Guochao said, “Aside from us, the Guan Family and Zhang Family have also been invited. It will take place on July 25th. Make sure you’re ready. You’ll come with your mother and I on that day.” tuV0IG

“I don’t have time.”

“Hold it!” Song Guochao grabbed hold of Song Xuanhe. He then forced himself to remain calm, telling himself that he couldn’t get angry. It was important to placate Song Xuanhe right now. Therefore, Song Guochao tried his best to ease up his tone. “This invitation is directed to you. If you don’t go, how can your mother and I attend?”

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

Song Xuanhe turned to look at him. When he saw a rare pleasant expression on Song Guochao’s face, he said in a flat voice, “If you want to go, go by yourself. I’m not going.”

“You have to go.” Song Xuanhe’s expressionless face made Song Guochao’s vow to remain calm collapse. His face darkened. “You have no right to refuse. You have no right to refuse to attend the Xiao Family’s banquet. I’m telling you, Song Xuanhe, don’t think that you can do whatever you want, just because Xiao Yuanmu’s behind you….” GhMOof

“Father.” Song Xuanlin, who had been a few steps behind Song Xuanhe, walked in and interrupted Song Guochao. He glanced at Song Xuanhe, his tone sounding baffled. “Uncle brought Jiabao over.”

Song Guochao frowned. He didn’t know why Song Guohua and his son had come over at such a time. In any case, they couldn’t leave their relatives outside. He glared at Song Xuanhe and then gave the nearby servants an order. “Let them in.”

Shortly after, Song Guohua and Song Jiabao walked in. When Song Xuanhe saw Song Jiabao, he realized why Song Xuanlin had on that expression just now.

“Uncle.” Song Jiabao greeted Song Guochao and then bit his lips as he walked over to Song Xuanhe. The rod on his back was very eye-catching. Song Jiabao pulled the rod out and held it in front of Song Xuanhe. Who knew if it was out of reluctance or shame, but his voice trembled. “Xuanhe, in the past, I offended bothMr. Xiao and you far too much. If you are discontent with me, please vent it onto me now. I hope that with this, you won’t hold what had happened in the past over me.” ZtRls8

Song Xuanhe was contemplating taking the rod and testing it out. However, Song Xuanlin responded on his behalf. He walked over and stood in front of Song Xuanhe. “Jiabao, you’re a year older than Xuanhe. What’s a bit of bickering? There’s no reason to let a younger cousin chide you. Don’t make such a joke.”

“It’s not a joke.” Song Guohua took the rod out of Song Jiabao’s hands, wanting to shove it into Song Xuanhe’s hands. He said, “Jiabao is in the wrong. It’s only right for him to apologize after doing bad things. This has nothing to do with whether or not we’re family. Xuanhe, hit him as much as you want. You can stop once you’ve finished venting your rage.”

Song Xuanlin didn’t stand down, however. He didn’t let Song Xuanhe take the rod either. In a low voice, he said, “Even if Jiabao wants to apologize, it’s not Xuanhe who he should be apologizing to. The person he offended isn’t Xuanhe.”

“Aren’t Xiao Yuanmu and Xuanhe a family? If one of them forgives Jiabao, the other person naturally will not mind.” Song Guohua laughed dryly. “Xuanhe, Jiabao is your cousin, regardless of what’s happened. Although you two don’t usually get along, your relationship isn’t so bad that you’d hold a grudge, right? How about you help Jiabao reconcile with Mr. Xiao? We’ll all be one big family once you and Mr. Xiao get married anyway. Wouldn’t it be better to resolve any conflicts we may have now?” nYSJjr

At this moment, Song Xuanhe realized just what Song Guohua was planning. When he recalled all the harassment he’d been suffering recently, the last tiny vestige of his patience disappeared. He pulled his phone out and said, “You want to resolve their conflict? Speak to him yourself.”

Eve: Three thoughts. One, these relatives are so annoying. So shameless, changing their tunes like this. Two, Xuanlin trying to be a good big bro I cri. Three, SXH always tattling to Mumu cracks me up.

Kara: The audacity of these relatives never fails to surprise me. SMH!! But, it’s so nice to see how SXH comes to terms with dealing with the original host’s memories and feelings. I genuinely love seeing how SXH and XYM’s individual growth allow them to positively develop their relationship together. ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

  1. Oooh, damn, They are so screwed~

SXL is not a bad brother…he is just a brother who is super awkward and doesn’t know how to take care of rebellious children…

    Thanks for the chapter~

    • True, he’s not as bad as we thought, but I can’t deny how many times this POV of his made me facepalm at many of his super naive and gullible thoughts. I thought he was supposed to be smart! But, what’s this I’m hearing… about “forcing another person” suddenly becoming… … “a couple’s consensual roleplay”… and…”playing hard-to-get”… …WTF???? Xuanlin, m’boy… bless your innocent heart, but… if this is as high as your EQ can ever really get, then I totally get why your grandad wants to give the company to Song Xuanhue! renewed series of facepalms

      • Mmmm, this is probably a side effect of the self-hypnosis he was talking about last chapter. He basically carved out the parts of his brain that would help him understand other people to make room for more business.

        • Okay, let’s imagine this. Right next to a study lamp and a small table fan, a novel obsessed student would find it in good interest to invest in a face palming machine. As they sit on their chair and smile, about to start reading yet another angsty or face palm inducing sequence, with a smile on their face, they switch on the silicon padded face palm machine. Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa The face palm machine allows the user to set the frequency at which the machine slaps their forhead, resulting in a seamless face-palm inducing reading sequence.

      • That line of thinking for me just shows how Xuanlin truly grew up in a social cirlce of privileged people. I think that is how people with money truly think of “forcing another person”, same as “having affairs outside of marriage”. I think even if his own mother is victim of adultery, if asked Xuanlin might say “it is a spice in married life” bllsht 🤣. Even if that is his view, like he emphasized though, it is not like he agree with it, but it is also unrefutable that is the norm (for them, the upper class people).

  2. It feels like SXH is complaining to Mumu “Take care the problems you’ve brought to me by yourself” XD

I can’t wait for them to meet ~ Does SXH’s debut runaway’s date clash with the party? Will he be able to come?

Thank you for the chapter! 💙

  3. I like the fact that Xuanlin is standing up for Xuanhe and being a good big brother. I happen to have 2 good older brothers and one amazingly sucky older brother, so I know the feelings of having both.

thanks for the chapter! <3 Let Mumu handle the Song family jerks (but leave grandpa, mama, and gege alone)

  4. Silently grieves for OG Song Xuanhe

I couldn’t believe Song Xuanlin still had rose tinted glasses when viewing some aspects in the world. Quite a pity things in life don’t always go as planned no matter how prepared we think we might be.

I hope OG Song Xuanhe is happy in another world or life… And that his big brother helped him fix his broken airplane there ( •́ ‿ ,•̀ ) ✈️

It’s almost as if it’s a tangible symbolism of his childhood in the Song family. Where there were shattered hopes and longing…

When will the disgusting family members stoooop? Urghh hahaha~

    Thanks for the update! 💕

  5. it feels like mumu is trying so hard to annoy xuanhe to death 🤣 first the interview, and then the invitation 🤣🤣🤣

    • ah i forgot to comment about xuanlin. i’m glad xuanhe doesn’t blame xuanlin that much. he isn’t much older than og!sxh so blaming him for og!sxh straying feels “…eh” to me. don’t expect a child to raise a child. and honestly? just how many people will stick with their family who are assholes, sad backstory or not.

  6. I would be shocked by Song Guochao’s shamelessness if I didn’t have despicable two faced relatives 🙂

    Thanks for the chapter♡

  7. It’s a wonder SXH managed to grow up decent with this kind of family… 😑

I’m glad that SXL stepped up as a Bro, like, finally!

Oh yes, call Mumu, hehehe, Mumu can let off some steam then ㅋㅋ

  8. song guohua: you wouldn’t hold a grudge against your cousin, right?

song xuanhe, master of holding grudges: …

i hope he can stay away from all the simps in his family. thanks for the chapter!

  9. im so weak against siblings in stories in general OTL especially older brothers UGU I DONT EVEN HAVE ONE MYSELF. XUANLIN I LOVE YOU. ;w; i know last chapter i said it felt too late… but i think its ok to try and be a good older brother even now hehe…. become xuanbaby’s awkward silent guardian…. if xuanlin’s shoulder are as wide as the ocean, then yuanmu’s shoulders gotta be as expansive as the sky so xuanhe can live without grievances HEHEthanks for the chapter!!!! i hope jiabao + uncle gets a good verbal smack!!!

  10. ngl I kinda Wanna see what happened to the song family after og SX’s death, like I’m curious about SXL reaction to his brother’s death, that’d be super angsty hehehehe

  11. I have a feeling Mumu’s going to get angry again, because the call isnt for personal (Xuanhe) reasons 😂 Thanks for the chap~

  12. sigh original SXH is very pitiful, he grew bad, but looking at this family sigh

If at least one person cared enough for him, educated him on wrongs…. Mother only spoilt him out of guilt, brother and grandpa care only about ‘Song’ family name and not care about insides of it, and not gonna even talk about garbage of the father (I don’t get why they still keep him). As another user said, I just home in another world his brother actually decided to fix that plane, it might be small scene, but it could have made a different ending.

Being good to current SXH is nice, but only cause mature soul took place, don’t expect someone to grow by themselves, there is always need of guidance.

Thank you very much for chapter 💕

  13. Thank you for an update, loved to read this! I am so worried …he never tells anyone what he is going through….

  14. I actually think worse of SXL after this chapter than I did before. I don’t actually believe that he didn’t believe anyone of their status is incapable of rape, he just told himself that to absolve himself of responsibility for not getting involved. There’s no way this “talented businessman” hasn’t seen his share of backstabbing and dirty dealing. He’s just a coward who won’t even admit to himself that he’ll stand by and watch anything happen if the alternative means paying anything.

    • I feel so much better seeing I’m not the only one who dislikes SXL more after this ‘confession’.

At his age, it is definitely impossible for him not to understand these things about using one’s status to force them to do something. Especially since he’s been trained since young for the role of successor. Fair enough, he didn’t really have anyone who would have tried any underhanded schemes to kill him or to cause him to lose his right as successor, but that wouldn’t change the fact that he should have learned everything a successful head of a family should learn.

He simply disliked his brother. Because everyone doted on SXH, whilst he had to learn so many things and be a good boy, a good eldest son, a good big brother. He had to give up anything he might have liked and focus only on things that would benefit their family. He had no freedom to have friends, or relatives he could play with, bc he had no time to play as he always had things he needed to learn. He had zero freedom. He was simply an heir. All their family saw him as the heir, whilst his younger brother was free. So he was jealous.

Whilst I might think it might be normal to be jealous, but I also have to say that jealousy leads to too many bad consequences. In the case of SXL, bc of his jealousy towards his younger brother, when he sent him away from home to appease the Xiao family, he let his guard down and let those with ulterior motives approach him. Actually, the whole family was in the wrong for letting him make friends who only seek to benefit from their friendship.

  15. Aarg they are so shameless! (╬▔皿▔)

    Looking forward to mumu (~ ̄▽ ̄)~

Thank you for the chapter 😘

  16. I love you, Xuanlin gege… ;; (I love you too, Eve and Kara <3)

It’s nice when Xuanhe tattles to Mumu, he’s not afraid to do it and Mumu would gladly listen to him lol.

Will you take a break for New Years’? I’m willing to wait if so~ Thank you for the chapter as always!!

    • No break, updates will continue as usual~ I’m a stickler for schedules and missing ‘deadlines’ makes me feel guilty so I usually have significant stockpiles. So even if I take a break from translating, releases usually aren’t affected.

With that said, I am on winter break which means I have been on a translating marathon haha

      • Ahh I see! Thank you for your hard work! But I do hope you take breaks from time to time, being sick isn’t very fun ;; Thank you again!

  17. Thanks for your hard work!

Like someone else said, I’m flabbergasted at Xuanlin’s naïveté! He really believed there was no real “forcing” of relationships and people are just role playing or playing hard to get!? Is he really that dumb!? No wonder grandpa is reluctant to give him the company no matter how hard he works!! And why couldn’t the adults in this damn family educate their kids properly? Don’t have kids if you can’t raise them properly! 🤦🏻‍♀️

    • I thought the same thing about the grandpa’s reluctance to give him the company, lmao. Being that naive is not a virtue in a future company CEO… (unless he wants to become Disney’s CEO, I guess)

    • +1! So that was why there were doubts regarding the company inheritance. Sighh I weep for Song Xuanlin’s EQ. Well, looks like he’d change for the better now, hopefully. Although his brother who longed for him is no longer with them 🙁

  18. SXL’s consensual roleplay concept sent me. But I got dragged back down to the mortal realm with the appearance of the shameless people from the Song family.

I’m still secretly hoping for them to have a horrible death but that’d be unlikely since they have yet to do stuff that warrants the death penalty (at least in a normal person’s perspective). I do hope that they endanger a character’s life so that the author can have an excuse to kill them off. And I also wished that SXL suffers, for some reason. Aiya, so many characters to dislike. I just want them all to get beaten up to death for my personal pleasure. Sounds like I’m craving for a fast paced face slapping QT but I’m too invested on this delicious slow burn novel so I’m just confusion.

  19. Call call call !!!!

    Thx for the chappy

    (≡^∇^≡)

  20. Damn, good bro Xuanlin is making me emotional. I felt heatbroken for the og Song Xuanhe, he didnt know of his brother’s care and worry for him even after they had a fall out. If only he didnt become friends with that sorry excuse of a human being. (◍´ᯅ `◍)

    Thanks for the chappie! ( ˘ ³˘)♡

  21. Ack SXH please talk to Mumu about other things soon. Also, Jiabao just getting beat left right and center.

Thanks for the great translation ♥️

  22. Uah oh oh oh. They are de c e a se d. Sayonara, I never liked u guys. I hope the leftover roasted bodies were put into good use. Maybe as feed for the wolves previous SXH got munched on by.

    Thanks for the chaps! 💞

  23. I just can’t get enough of this story!!! An emotional rollercoaster that I am loving!!!

    Thank you for translating this!!!

    😍😘❤

  24. I cried so hard in the last chapter while in this chapter, I’m just irritated by the Song Xuanhe’s relatives, minus big brother Song Xuanlon

  25. I… the connection of the present to the past especially in OG SXH’s death makes me cry… LIKE POOR LITTLE BABY WASN’T ACTUALLY ABANDONED AND UNLOVED AS I THOUGHT WTF, BUT THE HATE OF OTHERS WERE MORE POWERFUL THAN THE LOVE THAT PEOPLE GIVE HIM?!?!?!? I FEEL BAD FOR OG SXH!! I WISH HE COULD HEAR ALL THIS 😭😭😭😭 and poor current SXH dealing with all this bs, this kid needs proper rest and love and cuddles and relaxation damn.

    Thank you for the chapter!!!

  26. Song Xuanlin saying “that would never happen” about something Song Xuanhe was actively trying to faithfully play out sure does make me feel some kind of way. If Song Xuanhe actually leaves at the end of the plot now, especially if he makes it in any way look like the original ending, that’d definitely hurt. Meanwhile, Song Xuanhe’s had it with the aftereffects of Xiao Yuanmu’s side of things, time to call it in haha

Thank you so much for translating! <3

  27. One thing that always happen in these kind of novel is human life and dignity is worth nothing unless you have money and reputation. It’s sickening, but I guess it does reflect real life, which is an even worse thing

  28. and it circles back! because novel!sxh distanced himself from zhou nan and chose to stay with his scummy friends, he got addicted and didn’t survive outside of the song family’s protection. sxh may have turned out with a similar fate without his childhood friend

  29. Im not implying much… but i think some patches of rare endangered plants with richly nutritious soil would fit wonderfully in the Song family gardens.😇 just saying la~~~

  30. Ah, my theory has been further supported. Xuanlin was the one to kill Lu Chao in the novel, like how OG!SXH died (torn apart in some forest). If SXL is being truthful here, then what he just told SXH was what he did in the novel– temporarily give OG!SXH up and reclaim him later, except OG!SXH became addicted and died (due to LC). SXL was too late.

  31. Wow. I thought this SGH was a bit smart. But I take that back now. Or maybe he is smart but his smarts are not enough in this situation where his own son did something so big he jeopardised his company but he doesn’t want to lose neither son nor company.

If I were SXH, I would have simply said ‘since what SJB did isn’t considered a big thing, why don’t you give me your wife so I can send her to someone to train her for you?’

But now that I think about it, he might actually agree to this. As long as his company and his son are OK. What’s a wife anyway? One can get another one if the current one is gone, right? 🙄

  32. The third point, Xuanhe always tattling to Mumu 🤣. And as result Mumu will always be lefy disappointed because he thought it is a “I miss you” call but it is a “Daddy.. look at this trash” lol. Expectation vs reality hit Mumu too hard.

  33. So was it grandpa or big brother who got revenge in the og timeline? My money is on big brother. Guilt from his stubbornness and blindness to not save his little brother.

  34. Had to make an account to comment on this. So Mumu made this observation but after SXH the original was killed in the forest. Lu what his face had the same death. Based on what SXL said don’t you think he arranged it since he thinks he would temporarily abandon SXH and then bring him back he would feel massively guilty this would have happened to the little brother he let die? Cause they didn’t know who did it in the original but for sure SXL would have been devastated for failing. Any way just what I thought and on to more drama lol

  35. Tbh, I can relate to SXL. Not the biggest fan of kids and is also the youngest. I have a shitton of relatives so I would understand how he would be awkward with children considering he was also suffering from the pressure of being the first born child, I just felt like SXL is just such a well written character ww, but ofc I would still kill to have big bro xuanlin and smol xuanhe interactions…

    Ty for the chapter!! 🌸🌸

  36. the song elders are so trash omg. just reading about the family shit SXH has to go through has result in me having a throbbing headache and an annoyance that cannot be measured LMAOOOO. I’m pissed to say the least.

  37. oh wait- if they get married people will only be trying to use him!

oh gosh T^T! he won’t be able to be happy
