A bit about biology and why I found that part of the text confusing:
Plants do have a transport system (the xylem and phloem), and I’m guessing that Saman and Qing Lin are in the phloem since there was a membrane between each space, but the “room” in the phloem does not move when transporting nutrients. The nutrients are moving because of diffusion. So, to conclude, the anatomy of this “plant” is purely fantasy, which is a given.
If my limited biology knowledge is enough, things should be like this. Nutrition flows from roots to the flower upwards, so when we talk about these cells, once upper floor is devoured, membrane brakes, which allows the content of the level below go up. Sorry for my english, not native speaker

Hua Li is talking to Qing Hong about how He Jun saw the “boundary/board” that would only appear at dusk (twilight, as the sun was about to set).
She advised him to do something about He Jun, perhaps knock HJ out or lock him somewhere until everything is settled (i.e., “when the dust settles”) since He Jun is the only one who could make Qing Hong waiver (which would ruin their plan).

ya’ll I just search up what black rabbit mean in China and it came up with ‘Black Water’ which is meant to mean good luck/good fortune (sure doesn’t apply for our mc though💀) and the dark side of Black Rabbits are meant to be the messenger of the underworld….
