I like that Saman seems pretty self-aware in his interest in Ren Yifei, like he definitely sees that Ren Yifei isn’t into him right now, even if he’s very proactive and optimistic on his own. Guess that makes sense with his identity as someone who can see through most actors—if he couldn’t even read people well, that would be weird. In any case, blatantly one-sided affection can be awkward when the active half feels so exuberant, but he’s actually pulling off “flirty without crossing any lines” in his outward interactions so far. The contrast with his silly-sweet internal dialogue is pretty adorable
Meanwhile, it seems Ren Yifei’s past apparently includes several half-siblings and tragedy—I wonder if any of the deaths are related to the Big Bad System
