一佛出世，二佛升天 – This refers to Buddhism’s metaphysics and chronology. Specifically, the length of time it takes for the birth and ascension of Buddhas, which is measured in units of time called kalpas. One regular kalpa is approximately 16 million years.

  10. Honestly, I am still on the fence for Gu Zuo to accept a master. But, since Tianheng has, I don’t think it to be far off for Gu Zuo to accept a master.

    Ah!! Gu Zuo is so cute in this chapter! My child is the best! I think I will really love this “show-off” type of chapter in this arc.

  11. I have to wonder if pharmacists also have “wild” handwriting like modern doctors are known for (and this is the reason why!) :p

    No translation issues, though not sure if you want to change the 十息 “ten seconds” -> “ten breaths”. Because while seconds is easier to picture, mathematically it’s not possible to have 1000 ten-second units within a 2+ hour time frame. You’d need at least 3 hours, preferably four to account for the time to say each question. Maybe half-second?
