  1. Oh, so their flirting didn’t go unnoticed~

I admit I sometimes get frustrated by the author skipping the details I want to read about, like they sharing the same bed (couch) for the entire night and nothing remotely ambiguous takes place. Same thing when they saw each other naked in the bath.

Are they really so pure?! Am I the dirty one??!!……am I?

How can they flirt, hug, sit on the lap, share a room, a bed and help to take a bath, etc., and still not have even a little impure thought. Are they really teenagers?!

Alright, ok, I’m sorry, I have calmed down. I just have some danmei deficiency.

    Thanks for the chapter ~🌸

    • Let me share my thought😊 !

Well, for me, I keep on thinking on how Huan Ji has to dress and act as a male (maybe he feels that he is a male? Not just the “I like the same sex” notion, he really sees himself as male. I can’t explain properly sorry😅) in order to say that he likes girls. Maybe in this world, the idea of love between same sex has not come yet or it did came but is hidden among others. Maybe we shall see other homosexual couples (maybe secretly) in higher cultivation realms perhaps🤔?

      • Yes! I also want to read more about Huan Ji! Like does he really sees himself as male or is it just because he likes women and think he must be male then.

As for homosexual couples, I thought it was somewhat acknowledged, since at the start of the novel the guy who stole the pharmacist’s beads out of the boy who Gu Zuo’s substituting for (the one who looks exactly the same as Gu Zuo), was gay and did all that out of jealousy. Then he got in a gay relationship that seemed to be kind of approved by his family 🤔

        • Oh right! I forgot about that character😅 and I can’t even remember his name. He was such a petty character that I forgot that same sex relationships are okay in this world but then I was surprised on Huang Ji’s situation so I adapted the mindset that same sex relationships aren’t a thing here.

I think it is also how they were raised in other places. For example, America in the 1900’s and 2000’s cannot even think of going out with the same sex while during the same time, in Europe, same sex relationships were a bit more open to them. Another thing is maybe Gu Zuo and Tianheng hasn’t gotten to the point that they would really see their actions to one another as something else. That they would feel their heart skip on every action, every touch and every ambiguous word that they may say and do. Since this is an extremely slow burn for my standards, I guess we would have to wait for the first kiss to arrive😁

    • I’d say in alternate “immortal” cultivation world, unless its that kind of genre, people generally have low body desires and more of a soul companionship style. ^^ I do hope for some kisses or something soon though TvT … hope….

    • Definitely can’t say you’re the only one itching for more danmei in this danmei novel. There’s slow burn romance and then there’s this! It does require a different mindset I think. This is primarily a cultivation novel with a minor danmei element. It is not a danmei novel with a cultivation setting. On the positive side, the pay off will be all the sweeter when we get there in another year or two! 😂

      • I mean, I like the novel as it is, but couldn’t we at least get a little treat between important dialogue sometimes? I’m not asking for much, just a little passing thought that might not be all that proper at all lol~ 😂

      • Not at all, we’re all here for the same thing really 😉. I’ve just learned to look at the length of the novel and judge by that. A lot of times if it’s over 500 chapters and not quick transmigration the romance takes longer. Not to mention this one is master/servant to friends to lovers

      • I mean, everyone on this site knows this is a BL destination. Who here doesn’t enjoy and look forward to the resolution? Really, if you didn’t already have a good mindset about being able to wait for that payoff you’d never have gotten this far into it. Slow burn is not a good entry point for most newbies because it takes patience and more interest in the world setting than just the romance. This story in particular requires expert level wait tolerance. I love slow burn and still crave more interaction! This is well written enough that I honestly don’t mind too much, though I’m also weak for cultivation novels. QT novels for me tend to be boring due to how quickly things are resolved so really it’s all preference and tolerance related.
        • I like cultivation novels, more than QT or others really, I guess I’m just an impatient kind of person 🤷‍♀️

But I’ll suppress my impatience by reading yaoi and then come back with a cleansed mind.

    • They might be teens but they’re also cultivator teens. I’m guessing that the whole aspect of physical cultivation is that you have better control of your libido, and they don’t get the physical reactions and random hormone surges that happen to mortal teens.

So a relationship for them is likely to first start out with the emotional development of romantic feelings, and the physical reactions would start to happen afterwards once their minds have accepted this change in feelings.

At the current point they haven’t had that epiphany of “I like him” yet, so there’s no physical response, and the incidents where they see each other nekkid so far is more like the embarrassment you get going to a public bath than the embarrassment between potential lovers.

      • Yeah, I know, I wouldn’t be so impatient from time to time if I wasn’t so invested in the characters and the story itself. I just belatedly remembered that they follow the way of the dao (maybe), and it was more of a kind of venting on my part.

Anyway, I’m not complaining of the story itself, I really like this novel and I’ll definitely read until the end. It’s just that my need for sugar sometimes reaches a breaking point, but I can tell they are getting more affectionate as time goes on.

I mean I just wanted some snuggles or stuff, or a typical “he’s so nice to hug”, anything really. But I’m sure we’ll get there in due time.

  2. for some reason my brain forgot that this was a bl novel and that last bit took several moments to actually make sense.

    thanks for the chapter!!!

  3. When Gu Zuo was on his own, he was quite capable of making rational decisions fairly quickly. As soon as Gongyi Tianheng returns, Gu Zuo needs a reminder to do something as simple as asking the system whether it can be detected… We know GTH is a genius – the author spared no effort to inform their readers of it. Imo, there’s no need to make other characters less intelligent to emphasize how frighteningly high that young master’s IQ is.

Thank you for the chapter 🌸

  4. Maybe I’ve read too many conspiracy stories recently but it makes me wary when someone that high up in the sect suddenly wants to meet with the main characters. I really hope this is them getting some respect and reward for their contributions!

Can’t blame the sister for not realizing this is a danmei novel. Us dear readers forget it half the time! Ah, the joy of slow burn. Leaving it out even this is still a fascinating cultivation novel!

Thanks for your hard work translating!

  5. “It’s just that these two people didn’t spare a glance at anyone else. Not even this little sister.”

Translation: they are in their own little world and dont give a damn if you drown in their dog food

  6. 🤣🤣🤣

Shouldn’t she be focusing on getting stronger after growing mushrooms for so long???~Thanks for the chapter 😄

  7. GZ is still a bit of a country bumpkin, lol. They already knew from the tomb raid adventure that there’s a bunch of realms above Atomic/Ascendant, but he still finds the sect master’s realm such a big deal.

    Translation notes:

His strength was at the Atomic Realm or above –> was above the Atomic Realm

Tianheng also muttered to himself silently. –> also pondered silently. Tianheng didn’t mutter to himself for too long. –> ponder for too long

Moreover, although it could be said that the system completely lacked a state of mind, he always felt that, in this respect, there was an undertone of pride. –> although the system lacked any emotion to speak of, he still felt there was an undertone of pride.

  8. Tetra, the chapter title is kind of off…

“The Sect Master Requests an Audience” <– this sounds more like he’s asking for visiting our couple, not asking them to visit him!

Since he wants the two of them to come to his place, he’s summoning them… Don’t you think so?

  9. Wkwkwk… In my language can be translated as “like they own the world, the others just renting”, not a bad word but that definitely a sentence that precisely describe a people in love 🤣🤣🤣

  10. Pffff~ sorry girl, no place for a third wheel! Kkkkkk no light bulbs allowed! But it would be nice to see Tianheng drinking vinegar!

    Thanks for the chapter!

  11. I love them so much that I take every crumbs that I could see, which is particularly smol (๑‾᷆д‾᷇๑)
