被干起来 I have translated it into what YQH meant aka it’s so dry that he woke up but 被干起来 also has another meaning aka what ZQY interpreted it as, which is getting fucked till he woke up (since 干 can also mean fuck) :”)

  5. I want to give lots of thanks to the translator and editors for bringing us this novel! The koi aspect can become cliché when you’ve read a few novels with it but YQ carries it well, so I’m not put out when reading. Moreover, I love his attitude (giving his all even if he’s not sure he likes the job, not being afraid to admit he’s made a mistake or that he needs to rethink things) and how once he’s decided he’ll be true to himself he doesn’t back down. Mad respect.

    But honestly? I am very (pleasantly) surprised that HQ, very obviously asd coded, actually is stated to be in the spectrum with official diagnosis and his family knowing and supporting him. It’s not an easy road but having supportive and understanding parents is incredibly important in building your self-esteem when you’re so different from others. I’m glad to see it addressed, even if peripherally in a danmei novel of all things.
