The Ghost King's KeeperCh65 - Escape is not an Option

Bonus chapter (Thanks Allison :))

~ QkolM3

Ruzen kissed in haste, feeling the King’s warmth inside his mouth, tangling and familiar. The weight of a body above him had never felt so delightful before, how he wished to immerse in it even more, his hands twitching to hold the King, but hesitating in fear of King’s preference.

“You can touch Us, We would not get angry,” Ruzen heard the King murmur.

A little dizzy and warm, still hesitant, Ruzen decided to grab the King’s back, immediately feeling a strong physic under the thin robes. When his fingers dug in instinct, his lips parted to let go a soft mewl under the sharp bite on his lips. The King responded to his touch so enthusiastically, Ruzen couldn’t let go of his own satisfaction.

The fabric of the robe was truly soft and silky, he had just imagined it previously, but now he was able to rub on it, grab on it, it certainly left him pleased.  jDtdU9

His waist raised in an arc once the King decided to bite his chin and neck, the sharp teeth on his warm skin left a lasting impression, definitely not disliked.

“Your majesty is so sly…” he wasn’t sure why he was saying it, but he couldn’t mind such careless slips, for his mind was entirely elsewhere, focusing on the pleasure that came with kissing. It was just tongues playing tango, but it was so intense, he was left gasping.

“Ruzen is hurt, shall we treat you first?”

The abruptness of the sentence caught Ruzen off-guard, but he didn’t expect the King to be into what they were doing, since the King had told him himself how he was immune to such kinds of pleasures.

Still, Ruzen wasn’t sidetracked, he was feeling warm now and he did not want the King to leave this early, but how to say it?

So he closed his eyes instead and tried pouting, which he never had done before, “Your majesty doesn’t seem to like kissing me.”

In response he heard and felt the King leaving his side and sitting upright, as a gentle hand landed on his navel, rubbing softly, as a tingling body heat transferred through the clothes, reaching Ruzen. “We do like sharing intimacy with you, but Ruzen is forgetting where we are. This place cannot be warded, and We cannot let loose of control in presence of others.”

Opening his eyes again, Ruzen took a glance at the King, whose stare looked gentle as they watched him. There wasn’t the same warmth one would expect from a loving partner, but it was close to something… else. He couldn’t tell what it was, it was definitely an emotion, but of what kind, he couldn’t tell. It was sharp yet also not piercing, just a little softer, gentler, and more significant.  UXNBeR

Ruzen really wanted to ask the King what he was thinking, what exactly he felt, but that was just a question which can be avoided, and maybe the King himself wouldn’t be able to answer it.

“Your majesty says that he would lose control, but doesn’t his majesty not feel such emotions… pleasures?”

Amusement flashed on the King’s face, a slight hooking up of his lips was actually visible, “We like your subdued wants, the desires you show Us, those peculiar wishes flashing exclusivity. We may not desire for flesh or the intimacy of intercourse, but We also aren’t immune to other forms of delights.”

“But you can’t love.” Ruzen felt deflated again, it was still underwhelming, their bond, he felt no sparks, no love, when he saw the King; embarrassing and flustered quickening of heartbeats were common, but it wasn’t love. He had already settled his head before, but still managed to feel slightly disappointed with his romantic urges.  JN8Y7T

He knew, he knew that thinking about it wasn’t a suitable track, he knew that what the King had said before was better, better than the finicky love, but it was hard shedding his prior experience and education from the previous world.

He saw the King’s smile waning and the guilt came rushing in. He ruined the mood, he really had to demand something that never could be there. The King was a ghost and ghosts couldn’t feel human emotions. They have different mentality. Why couldn’t he ingrain that in his brain.

And why, after all this time was he making such demands? Even in the previous world he looked down on puppy love, he thought academic progress was the priority, he had different dreams, dreams of becoming rich, influential, owning several beach resorts, having a collection of his favorite comics, having exclusive rights to memberships… he never felt urges to have a girlfriend or having one-night stands.

His sexual desires were fed with adult videos and that too rarely. Almost nonexistent.  i2NLZB

And now… here he was asking the King why he couldn’t love him.

Was it the same concept as ‘You don’t value things until you lose them’? Ruzen thought it might be so, otherwise, why was he so depraved?

“Ruzen,” the King’s voice brought him out of his inner musings, as he looked up with hesitation. “You are not in the wrong for wanting something you believe in. We know it is not right to ask of you to discard your mentality and preference, but We suggest you give it time, try to understand what We offer you and Adjust.”

“I am sorry,” it was hard apologizing, “I am not really bothered by it.” Not like he was ever in love, maybe he was just missing his family and the care they provided.  j7eqdV

“Come with Us then, We understand that we still haven’t reached you like we wanted to. You seem not to know what We think about you and that makes you hesitant in everything.”

Ruzen sat up, looking at the King who brushed his clothes while standing, “Where are we going?”

“We will show you something. You need to see it, and understand Our point.”

Ruzen was confused, but he got up and held the King’s stretched out palm, ready to see just what the King had in mind.  ZtgnHO

While Ruzen and the King were talking about personal affairs, the King’s other shadow was closely following Ah’Hen, who was currently at the outskirts of the city of Manjo. One would think that he would do what was told, but strangely enough, Ah’Hen took a turn towards the thicker forest.

The dark shadow of the Ghost King skirted at the edge, misting around the tree barks and plants as their surface got tainted by the energy. A chill froze on the ground, as if waiting for pressuring frost to envelope the approach.

Ah’Hen suddenly stopped in front of a big tree, thousands of little flies hanging from the tree leaves, shadowing the area like golden cloud.  8TA9h

“Until when are you going to follow me? I have nothing to say.” The rough mature voice from the child was startling, something Ruzen must have never heard before.

The dark shadow that had been following him started to form a shape and what remained was the solid figure of the ghost King, dressed in the same robes Ruzen remarked as ‘soft’ and ‘silky’. Currently, the robes held so much opulent grandeur, any opponent would cower.

A sharp look stiffened the ghost child, as the King did not wait for him to adjust, “We would not send you for judgement and neither would We kill you. How far do you think you could run?”

The little ghost was not immune to the threat, as he quivered, but there was a strange light in his eyes as if saying he wasn’t afraid of punishment.   sfT9Xh

Taking this as an opportunity, the King walked closer, knowing well enough that his girth alone would scare these little flies away, but knowing the circumstances, he was not afraid of showing his full extent of power. “You have multiple masters, are We correct? You would resurrect even after torture and would not die. Are you planning to defy Us until the end? What about your recent master?”

“Ru’Zen is gullible, I can ensnare his attention anytime. You may be the Ghost King, but you can never make me speak.”

The ghost king did not refute, he would rather the ghost child never speak up, because he had already identified the enemies and had no pressing need to assault a little insignificant ghost.

“We are not here to dirty our hands, We just need to see your original form. Since the very beginning we knew your presence would bring calamity.”  kR2j o

The child ghost stayed still, studying the king with vigilance, the body shaking under the blanket of oppressive energy from the King. “I will never do that, you know it as well. And if you torture me, Ru’Zen would know. What are you going to tell him? Does he know to whom he has become enslaved?”

The Ghost King did not reply back, not that Ah’Hen expected anything. So he continued, “Ru’Zen has a life debt to me, even if he wanted to, he could never throw me away.”

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Not getting any response, Ah’Hen scowled, “You think your status makes me fear you? Even if you don’t care about Ru’Zen, you cannot put your hands on me, I am a slave of another, it would be against rules. How are you going to make me do what you want then?”

The Ghost King who had been listening to all the last resort nonsense finally took action, his hands coming up to clutch at empty air, as the child in front suddenly started to hover in the air, a dark mark spreading on his neck with startling speed.  f7K06q

“Ru’Zen wouldn’t forgive you, he values me!”

The King smiled, the smile so chilling, even the child ghost seemed to know his ending would be bad. “You are such lowly creature; you think We are punishing you personally because of your fear? Your strength? Your might?” A slow chuckle echoed in the now silent forest. The trees no more bristling. “Ru’Zen is too busy at this time to favor you, he hasn’t yet developed to a stage where he would know you are hurt, and We also do not intent to torture you. We were thinking of breaking your contract with the rest of the masters, wouldn’t that be a fitting punishment? You could no longer cater to them, you will be an outcast. For who would pick a dirty ghost which had been marked by so many masters? You will have no choice but to stay with Ru’Zen, the one you seem to hate will be your savior. The life debt? That would be repaid once you take his shelter.”

Ah’Hen listened on as he paled further, unnaturally hazy and white, the eyes widening in disbelief. “N-No,” he choked, “No, anything but that, I would never follow Ru’Zen, that vile man is not worthy of my respect. His existence alone is against the natural order. A cursed one? I would never follow a cursed one.”

The ghost King seemed to acknowledge the hate, “You have no choice, you cannot atone for your sins until you yourself suffer.”  0 aoU3

“Aren’t you afraid of what I might do to Ru’Zen in his sleep? I can kill him if I wanted to.”

The words had ben spoked in spite, but Ah’Hen did not expect the King to laugh at him, actually laugh as if he heard something funny, the voice deep and throaty, a full belly laughter. “How amusing! You think with Our protection you will be able to harm him?”

Ah’Hen grit his teeth, spatting out, “Even so, doesn’t mean I would protect him! You are still a ghost King, not a spirit yet. You cannot undo my contracts and neither can you kill me. You do not possess a ‘blessed’ weapon, and you also know it. Such threats are futile.”

The ghost King did not chatter back, his face still laughing but his fingers working through something intricate, and soon, Ah’Hen started to scream, a bloodcurdling sound so pained, even those with strong hearts would not be able to bear it.  igumIQ

Ah’Hen’s form started to shift under the forceful external influence, as the distortion deepened and several layers of names started to appear like misty characters.

Among these characters, the last one to appear read ‘Ru’Zen’. It was brighter than others and much bigger, almost taking half of the space among others.

“Now We shall remove the others and let this one remain.”

That said, Ah’Hen almost fainted under the continuous assault on his core, he was aware that somehow the King was able to break his contract with others and reinforce his mindset, incorporating his instinct to save Ru’Zen, his only master for eternity.  6ZeoyW

If he was not in such excruciating pain, he would have been alarmed at the powers a ‘King’ ranked Ghost held, it wasn’t what a normal Ghost King would have, so were the rumors true, that the Ghost King was actually already the ‘spirit’?

After a tense half an hour, the Ghost King let Ah’Hen’s flickering form fall on the ground, his eyes positively bright, as if in amusement. A smooth blue fan slid out of his robes, and flicked open as the King fanned himself.

Ah’Hen was still in a child’s form, because until he did not want, his true form could never be revealed. Yet, he did not have strength to fight against the King, and he looked on in fear, as the fan ominously sparkled in daylight.

“W-Why do you have a b-blessed weapon? How can you h-have one?”  0Qd6pF

“Reveal your form, do not waste Our time, or We will forcibly destroy your remaking life.”

A bitter smile spread on his lips, as Ah’Hen mocked himself for even trying to outsmart this cunning King. A shine glowed around his body as the small child’s form started to change into that of an adult.

The ghost King’s eyes abruptly sharpened, as he took in the familiar face, no wonder why he had a certain inkling at the back of his mind. “Weren’t you the one whom We exiled long before?”

Ah’Hen did not speak, his adult form glaring darkly at the King. nxoK4r

  1. So exciting!!!!! 😆 Is Ah‘Hen the red ghost? Or somebody else? The King is so powerful!!! What’s a spirit? Is that something like a god level ghost? So curious. 🤔 So sweet how Ruzen and the King interact. I’m starting to get the feeling like the King would seriously pamper him and give him everything he wants. Ruzen only would need the courage to ask for it. 😍💕

  2. Oh so it was ah’hen 🤭 interesting. Wonder how Ruzen will react to knowing his lil ghost is a traitor, that is if he ever finds out.

Can the King read Ruzen’s mind or is Ruzen so much of an open book

  5. I love this story! Am I the only one that thinks Mr. Blue is cute? I mean, sexy, cool, smart, dignified, powerfu… But he does cute little things sometimes that are really nice

  6. I like how ML is always patient with Ruzen, can their interactions be anymore cuter than this?! I bet it will!
