Besides those buildings that looked like residential areas, there were all sorts of recreational ones – casinos, hunting grounds, racetracks, and a colosseum… All sorts of colorful buildings filled both Xiao Tangqiu and Tang Mianmian’s sight.
They were overwhelmed by different forms of transportation on the street. Carriages, trams, trains, flying cars – both old and modern styles coexisted. There was a sense of nostalgia mixed with a futuristic feel which made them wonder if they had crossed time and space.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck…” The two men couldn’t help but exclaim at the same time and in a few seconds, the elevator reached the designated floor. The scenery outside the glass looked extremely small now. Even if they didn’t have a fear of heights, this would definitely bring it out of them.
When Xiao Tangqiu and Tang Mianmian walked out of the elevator, they were once again shocked by the sight before them. I have a possibly spoilery theory… that the person who lost his memories is actually Qiuqiu. If Shen Yuan was the only one to survive in the original Reincarnation Team, Qiuqiu could’ve been one of the original members. But with Qiuqiu’s reincarnation, he forgot everything. But his soul was still attracted to familiar things: Meng Xinghe, horror games, Shen Yuan. The reason why Qiuqiu can enter S-level missions right off the bat is because he already experienced them before. SY being cold in the beginning may be to gauge Qiuqiu—is he really his old team member’s reincarnation? Also, SY might’ve believed that if he really is his reincarnation, he would be fine in the horror game anyway. Or SY didn’t want to drag Qiuqiu back into the mess with the demons, but since Qiuqiu got involved again, SY would of course help him.
Although, I’m not sure where Meng Xinghe would fit in this theory. It could be Qiuqiu’s habits with his best friend wouldn’t change through the reincarnation cycle. He might think “this is how I was with Xinghe,” but actually, that was how he was with Shen Yuan before he met Meng Xinghe. This would relegate MX to a cannon fodder role or some really messed up timelines with SY/MX’s soul/reincarnation. I don’t know.

MXH’s mother may be one of the game developers and the game involved of souls? And when MXH died, she pulled his soul to the game. And maybe… MXH became the Abyss Demon. Then, SY and his members came. They all died. SY died, too. Yes. Died. He was shocked to see he has the same face as the Abyss Demon. Maybe, his members, too, were shocked and that caused them to die eventually. MXH finally got a chance to ‘escape’ as the Abyss Demon. He merged his soul to SY’s body. However, MXH can’t fully leave the Abyss Demon’s body and so his memories in was repressed (like forgetting Qiuqiu’s face but not his name) and also merged with SY’s memories remained in his (SY) body. And thus SY saying “He’s here.” during the Lippinobert instance. MXH’s soul in SY’s body also might explain the Ouroboros tattoo on his body, MXH being the Abyss Demon himself.
As to the Abyss Demon… during that first instance maybe it’s being him as the groom and, sensing his beloved Qiuqiu after the groom stabbed the heart of XTQ, kissed him to appease him. Sweet, yet painful 😂😂😂😂😂

How come I feel like the role should swap. The body is MXH and the abyss demon is SY which is kind of foreshadowed in the last chapter, the memories are suppressed, MXH takes on SY’s name and if the soul merged I think it is half half but one is master(SY) therefore the weaker one(MXH) is in semi-conscious but is influencing SY? Therefore the MXH in the first instance sort of influenced MXH to sort of gain a bit of awareness and thus the kiss but the body is still in control and therefore the tearing the heart?
