  5. Why does this sound like the beginning of the secret chamber? 😮

    Personally, the extras left me largely unsatisfied. I generally just don’t like endings where everyone forgets everything and become normal. It makes all the experiences the characters go through seem obsolete. Even more so because LJ and FYL lost their original friendship. I’m glad at least XY remembers.

    I really wanted to like DL, but just couldn’t. First there was the rape scene at the beginning. It wasn’t excusable but DL’s twisted sense of morality could at least be explained by the chamber. Now that they’re in a reality without a chamber DL has no excuse. He basically starts a relationship with a child, which is different than XY and LJ’s relationship because XY remembers having a relationship with LJ in the past, and is also abusive. FYL isn’t my favorite character, but he deserves better than this.

    Hong and LF are really cute though! I wish we got to see more of them.

      To answer your first question, that is because there is an e-sports sequel to this novel, with different main characters. Supposedly, the characters from eic would appear (or give guest appearances) in that novel, regarding the Transmigration/Reincarnation Night game.

    • +1 I hate these “it was all but a dream” or “forget everything” troupe types. It makes it seem like all of the build-up of the past 200 chapters were all for naught- especially with such an unsatisfactory ending.

  22. I’m so so glad this had a happy ending! There were times when I really did worry it would be a tragedy. I couldn’t guess what was going on at all, and although at first I nearly stopped reading because the characters were a little annoying, it was Xing Yan that kept me going, every time he showed up I was hooked! Thanks guys for all your hard work on this, it was a great story!

  24. At first, I keep on avoiding this because I thought I’ll get bored with it. But after getting hooked by the first few chapters, I binged-read this and followed Lou Jian’s tear-jerking journey. (Well, truth to be told tho, I skipped a lot of FYL’s and DL’s scenes because I don’t like them that much and I’m kinda uncomfy with them.)

    Now that this ended, I feel at lost for a moment and I will miss them so much. However, even though I’m a bit dissatisfied by how normal it ended, I still

  25. I’m glad ah lan and luo jian get to rekindle their friendship here and it’s like they’ve been friends forever that really touched me. I saw a lot of people say this ending is anticlimactic but if u think about it, they still have their abilities subconsciously and this is the ending my son luo jian wanted. He deserves this rest and to have everyone he cares about alive and happy.

  27. Can I confirm a few things

    The secret chamber was accidentally created after zhangying and his friends found this new technology and wanted to create a game with it
    After the chamber was destroyed, everyone went back somewhere in their past and supposedly forgot everything that happened in the chamber
    Somehow zhangying and XingYan has their memories (and possibly niecong?)

  29. Not sure how to feel about the ending. I am glad Ying brought them back together but it leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

    What happened to the snake? What happened to the Wolf? Why didn’t the black cross ever be used and what was its purpose considering that the vampire gave it to Luo Jian?

    Why couldn’t Luo Jian and Ah Lan ve friends after he got the surgery? Why didn’t he see his cousin for so many years?

    Is there a reason the sequel hasn’t been translated?

    It just all feels a bit like LOST great story but didn’t stick the landing and leaves a bad taste in the mouth due to it…failure of expectations?
