This chapter has me thinking that Jiang Zhou actually already likes Chen Ju. Or is at least struggling between finding him attractive and hating him for his past actions. There’s so many mixed messages between Jiang Zhou’s words and actions that I’m pretty sure that Jiang Zhou simply doesn’t know how to express himself around Chen Ju and so is defaulting to “Ice Cube Mode” because of it. I’m also pretty sure the main purpose of this “fake lover” business to give Chen Ju money he needs in a way where he won’t reject it. Also it’s a way to keep Chen Ju around cause he’s so cute.
