Qi Xun saw the missed call notifications on his phone when he was almost home. Today was his birthday and even though his original plan was not to celebrate, Zhong Yuqin and others pushed the issue because of his recent grumpy mood and insisted on dragging him to the bar. Even his phone was confiscated, which he would get back only after he was drunk.
He was indeed upset lately, so he did not refuse.
At first, the drinking was to relieve the gloom, yet a certain someone could not read the room and touched his sore spot.
The half-drunk Chen Duo asked, “Why have I not seen Bai Xi lately? Has the child been ignoring you? I have not seen him with you.”
Zhong Yuqin laughed and comforted the half-drunk man, “I think the kid might be in a relationship. Bai Xi used to be so clingy, but now he was not giving attention to Qi Xun. He must have a beautiful little girlfriend. This is very normal.”
Qi Xun glared at them and had the urge to dump their heads into the wine barrel.

Qi Xun stayed in the bar with his friends until it was almost midnight. The large group disbanded into little groups to hitch a ride or call a taxi to return home.
Previously, they wanted to continue partying at Qi Xun’s apartment. But the birthday man was not really in the mood and stuffed them into the car one by one.
“We can get together next time.” He slammed the door shut.
He was the last one to get into the car. Among the four passengers, he was the soberest. On the way back, he thought of Bai Xi again. The image of trembling tears that fell from the young man’s face on the day of the confession, and the orange-scented kiss on his lips.
It was not until he entered his apartment building that he took out his phone, which had been shut off during the party. Upon a closer look at the missed calls, he found six, and they were all from Bai Xi.

Bai Xi was dozing off, but when he heard his name, he instantly woke up.
He looked up and saw Qi Xun standing not far from him. For a moment, he even forgot about the month-long cold war with Qi Xun. He smiled brightly without thinking.
“Ge.” He could not resist calling out to Qi Xun. His voice was slightly hoarse but still light and soft.
Qi Xun wanted to come forward, but he was nailed in place by this address.
He gazed at Bai Xi from above. The young man sat cross-legged with his back against the door. Because he was sleepy, his eyes were redder than usual, and his ivory skin was lighter as well. With his white shirt and jeans, he looked like a boy not yet mature.

The corridor was not dark, but there was only a painted glass lamp for this area. Its mottled light and shadow fell on Bai Xi’s face, illuminating his thick eyelashes, from the tip of his nose to his half-drooping eyes.
It was similar to the scenes at the end of the movie.
But also, like the beginning of another chapter in one’s life.
He could not hold back the strength used to grasp Bai Xi’s wrist. “Where do you plan to go so late in the evening?”
But Bai Xi stubbornly struggled to break free. With his pale skin, even if he was not crying, the skin around his eyes was already red.
As if venting his anger, he smacked Qi Xun’s hand a few times.
“Why should you care where I go? You did not want me to come, and you also do not like me.” He roared at Qi Xun, but instead of looking like a ferocious lion, he was an enraged kitten.
Bai Xi had been wronged for more than a month.

Bai Xi lay in his arms as his tears of being a disappointment soaked Qi Xun’s shirt.
He complained in a low voice, “You might not want to see me tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or two days from now…You have ignored me for more than a month.”
Qi Xun could not refute it.
For more than a month, he did deliberately alienate Bai Xi, but it was not for the dignified reasons he gave at the beginning.
For a while, neither of them spoke, and neither pushed the other away either.
Bai Xi was buried in Qi Xun’s arms. When he smelled alcohol, he knew that the other man had been drinking with others, which made him more unhappy.

Bai Xi groaned from his throat, like a kitten whimpering, or a hungry beast during spring.
His heart was pounding violently, yet the sound it made was very quiet.
No lights were turned on in the apartment. In the dead of night, when the neighbors had long gone to sleep, there was no space between their bodies as they entangled and demanded kisses. They were obviously in a familiar place, but they acted like they were having a love affair.
After an unknown amount of time had passed, the two finally separated.
Bai Xi was out of breath. The consequence of not exercising made it as if this exercise was equivalent to running eight hundred laps as he went boneless in Qi Xun’s arms.
His clothes were already distorted. His shirt buttons were either shattered on the ground or barely holding on, and his belt was untied, half-exposing his supple waist. Any third party who witnessed this would think the boy was being assaulted.
Qi Xun, on the other hand, was still fully dressed, the same as before except for the wrinkles on his shirt.
