  3. Thanks for the chapter! Nice to know that his grandfather actually cared about the OG in the book…and saw through Lele’s manipulations. And, that the grandfather is protecting QLQ now with his father misguidedly wanting to pound a square peg into a round hole. I like that Lele’s point of view shows a similar situation… we can see he’s a manipulative little sucker, but it’s because he’s learned this is the way to get what he wants. The scheming seems to have gotten worse because he’s afraid he will lose his place to QLQ. Hopefully, Grandpa Yan’s support will let QLQ move out and pursue art without the Qi family drama.

    • They don’t care enough to even take him to a doctor for a proper check up, knowing he grew up in abject poverty without any decent medical care. And had visible malnutrition. His grades will def not enter their eyes unless it’s embarrassing them.
