Voice Of Another ChanceChapter 33

A/N: So sorry for the delay in updating the chapters. I hope they will be worth your wait :blobaww:

The two men stood still, staring at each other for a moment. Neither one said a word and, just like a pair of statues, they seemed to barely even breathe. RPB9s4

Touma’s eyes were boring into Sato’s and his face showed traces of agitation. His eyebrows were tightly knit and his lips formed a straight, thin line. The outline of his face betrayed a strenuous fight for self-control.

Watching him like this, Sato’s nerves became taut. He lowered his arm slowly, continuing to watch the other man in silence.

For some reason, he felt like a small animal in the sight of a predator. He didn’t like that feeling. It reminded him of that night.

Just as the atmosphere was becoming too stifling, Touma eventually moved. He took a step forward, walking inside the room without waiting for approval, and finally closing the door behind him.   ywmSUB

“Sato, I would like to talk to you. Would you please listen to me?” Touma finished his words and continued to stare at Sato with a burning intensity.

“There is nothing…”

“Why do you keep running away, Sato?” Touma cut him off sharply. His hands clenched into tight fists as his expression darkened little by little. “Why won’t you listen to me?”

“Because it’s pointless.” Sato replied breathlessly, feeling his resolution to not show emotion falter.

With each word he spoke Touma took one step closer towards the table, until he was finally standing right before him. His tall body loomed over Sato’s frame, like a threatening dark shadow. KLPXVG

“Why do you allow him to keep everyone away from you?” Touma asked, his voice trembling.

“Because he saved me, Touma. He takes good care of me and he knows I don’t want to talk to you. Apart from when we have to work together we really have nothing to discuss. Haven’t I already said this back in the forest?”

“Yes, you already made your feelings known back there, saying that you don’t want to have anything to do with me anymore. I get that, really. I can understand why you would hate me. But what about him, then? What is he to you, Sato?”

Touma’s question startled Sato and he remained quiet for a moment. He eventually managed to collect his thoughts and replied as resolutely as he could. gfyhPt

“I was able to start healing after I met him. So, if anything, I believe he is the cure to your poison.”

“Is that so?” Touma said, his voice lowering to a threatening level. His eyes narrowed until they were just two slits. “Then, I guess I’ll just have to keep on poisoning you until the cure stops being effective.”

Before his last word fell, Touma grabbed Sato by the shoulders, pulling him closer. The next second, their lips touched, fusing together with an overwhelming force.

Sato could feel Touma’s hot and erratic breaths brushing across his cheeks, giving birth to shocking sensations. Before his brain could fully register what was happening, Touma’s tongue plunged inside his mouth and began a vicious rampage. dDWyLU

‘No! This… This isn’t right! This shouldn’t happen! I don’t like this!’

When his brain finally woke up from its stupor, Sato struggled to break free. But Touma’s hands were like iron pincers, gripping his shoulders with extreme force. He could feel a sharp pain from where the fingers were digging into his skin, while his mind was becoming more and more muddled due to the lack of oxygen.

That kiss was anything but loving. It was a show of strength and domination. Those lips and tongue conveyed all of Touma’s feelings of frustration and anger.

Just when Sato felt like he was about to suffocate from the lack of oxygen, his lips were freed abruptly. This drew out a loud gasp from his mouth. A second later, Touma was yanked away from him and thrown onto the floor a few steps away. r13dnl

Another man was now standing in the room.

Asakura was breathing heavily, his chest heaving up and down violently. His eyes gleamed with an unrestrained fury, while his entire body reeked of killing intent. This appearance was similar to that of an angry breast that had its territory invaded.

At the sight of him, Sato couldn’t help repress a shudder. Even Touma had snapped out of his previous state of mind and was now gazing up at this dangerous looking person with apprehension in his eyes.

Asakura looked at Sato, carefully taking in his appearance.  BrVshw

The young man’s expression was filled with anxiousness. His eyes glistened with unshed tears, while his lips looked red and swollen.

This last image triggered another burst of anger inside Asakura’s chest. He turned his eyes towards the other person, which he identified as the culprit for Sato’s rattled appearance.

Feeling the man’s eyes on him, Touma flinched. His eyes showed a mixture of fear and frustration. His lips were also red, shining with the residual moisture from the earlier kiss.

Thinking about how that mouth was kissing Sato’s just a little while ago, Asakura felt like fainting from anger. He was on the verge of losing the little bit of self-control he still had. His heart throbbed and a hot, violent emotion surged inside his stomach.  atFbzm

When he finally spoke, his voice resounded in the silent room, cold and menacing as if it was coming from the underworld.

“Tell me, are you in such a hurry to meet your ancestors? If so, I can help you with a one-way ticket there. Though, I cannot guarantee they will recognize your face after I give you my blessings.”

Touma, whom Asakura had just addressed, shuddered visibly. He felt a chilling cold sipping into his bones and that menacing stare made him shrink back.

“You have two choices, Kishi Touma.” Asakura continued to speak in the same icy cold voice, raising two fingers. “One, you get out of here on your own two feet. Two, you crawl out after all the bones in your legs are broken.” He paused for a moment, as though to give him time to think, then he took a step forward towards the cowering man. “So, what will it be?” Bkd1Pj

In all likelihood the question acted like a powerful trigger because as soon as the last word fell, Touma jumped to his feet and scampered out of the room. He was half running, half crawling, hastening to the point that he even forgot about Sato. His spleen was hurting from the effort of running, but his legs didn’t stop sprinting, as if he was chased by a dangerous beast.

Watching him disappear like that, Asakura was satisfied. Yet, for a moment, he felt really sorry that Touma didn’t choose the last option. That way, he would have been able to relay some of his sentiments in a very unforgettable manner. To his disappointment, though, the coward chose to escape.

Additionally, Asakura understood that beating an actor would bring more trouble than Touma was worth. Not just for him, but for Sato as well, and that was the one thing Asakura didn’t want.
