From the moment Viramalla had entered the room, Sui Junhui’s eyes never left him. He even forgot that staring directly at a prince for too long was considered an offense. Viramalla didn’t say anything, Simha was busy sizing both of them up that he hadn’t noticed and Yi Qian turned a blind eye to this unreliable prince.

Since the other three had no intention of starting a conversation, Yi Qian was left to do all the talking.

Yi Qian broke the awkward silence by saying, “I hope both the crown prince’s and the second prince’s travel experience was pleasant.”

Simha frowned and said, “It was not bad.” pNWhH8

Yi Qian continued to make small talk. “Did you both rest well yesterday? Have you adjusted to the new environment and time difference yet?”

Seeing that the general was still going to ask more questions, Simha turned to his brother and hinted with his eyes.

“To what do we owe the pleasure of having both the generals visit us?’

Having received his second brother’s plea, Viramalla asked without beating around the bush. Yi Qian didn’t know what to say. He was pulled here by that unreliable prince who had no intention of making conversation despite sitting right beside him.

“I think it would be more appropriate if General Yue conveyed our intention.” Yi Qian had no intention of helping the prince anymore. So he turned everyone’s attention to him. 5yGREO

Feeling three pairs of eyes on him all of a sudden, Sui Junhui stopped staring at Viramalla and said, “Since the crown prince and the second prince are not familiar with our country, the emperor has sent us here to keep you both company and to help you familiarise with the places and other things.”

Simha replied, “How could we trouble both the generals? You can just send other servants or eunuchs for that.”

“It is no trouble at all. We are free at the moment too. It would be an honour for us to be of use to you both.” Sui Junhui insisted.

“Well, if it’s no trouble for you, then we too would be honoured to have you both show us around.” Simha agreed. 1xHmRw

“If both the princes do not mind then, I would help the crown prince while General Yi would help the second prince.” Sui Junhui asked politely.

“Of course not!”

“Then we will not be taking up any more of your time and we’ll leave both the princes to the rest of your day. We will arrive tomorrow morning and you can make your plans before that. ” Yi Qian replied quickly before that unreliable prince would continue to make them stay here any longer. Sui Junhui was annoyed but when he thought about it, Yi Qian was right. He should take it slowly and not just intrude all of a sudden. They did say that they were still adjusting to the environment.

Although disappointed, he still left with Yi Qian. Viramalla and Simha saw them out before both of them returned to the Chrysanthemum courtyard. r9FTVW

Once both the generals were out of sight, Simha couldn’t help but ask, “Eldest brother, are they assigned to us to keep an eye on us?”

“Second brother is just thinking too much.” Viramalla said thoughtfully, still looking at the direction in which Sui Junhui had departed.

“Better safe than sorry.” Simha replied thinking that his brother was not considering the matter seriously. But what he missed was the longing and warmth that had filled Viramalla’s always cold hazel eyes.

Sui Junhui could not wait until tomorrow to meet the Pallavan crown prince again. But he still dragged his unwilling body back to his palace with great difficulty. There was something about Viramalla but he could not put a finger on it. All he knew was that Viramalla seemed familiar to him. Those protruding hazel brown eyes had the ability to make him fall into a daze whenever he looked straight into them. There was a deep pool of hidden emotions in those eyes. Viramalla tried his best to hide them deep down and not let others see. But he didn’t know if it was his misconception but when he looked into them, he could catch a glimpse of his emotions albeit very little. Although Viramalla still wore a cold expression to mask all of those heart-stirring emotions, he could still see past his cold exterior. It was as if he let only Sui Junhui look into him. As if he would bare his emotions to him, only him. Within that pool of emotions, what bothered him the most was loneliness and pain. When he saw it, he was very upset with himself, so much that he wanted to hug and comfort him. He wanted to tell him that he would never be alone when he was with him. He wanted to tell him that he only deserved happiness and nothing less. He wanted to see those cold eyes regain their vitality. He wanted his eyes to brim with liveliness and mischief. He wanted them to be full of happiness and love. Full of love only towards him. He wanted to see him laugh without a care in the world. He wanted him to be by his side. Cx qOb

When he realised what he wanted, Sui Junhui was shocked and perplexed. It was his second time seeing that Pallavan prince but that still somehow made him fall into a whirlpool of desires. Desires only for him.

Why would he feel these emotions for a prince he hardly knew? Why did it feel like he knew him already but still he didn’t?

Sui Junhui was annoyed that something was out of his control. Something was beyond his level of comprehension. This was his first time feeling so angry and puzzled at the same time. He needed to find out what was happening to him and the only way to do that was to see Viramalla again. He needed to get to know him. He had to know why Viramalla had such an impact on him.

He had to wait until tomorrow morning now. Why were there so many shichens in a day? Why couldn’t there be just one or two shichens? When will tomorrow arrive? RFv032
