12. This novel is really good. There’s no black or white only grey, bad people had their reasons but that doesn’t mean they could be forgiven easily. Chances are given and retracted when not appreciated. The way he did everything he can because he understands that not only he could feel Lou Jing’s pain if he ever take in a consort(even if just to have a heir with no feelings involved), he also acknowledged the fact that Lou Jing lost much more just to be with him when in fact those rights had already been given back to Lou Jing. Not only he will be sort of imprisoned in the palace, he cannot meet men or woman because of his status as a male empress. At least a female empress could meet other female freely, he can’t meet any. Father empress really lived a lonely life, not only he was locked up in the palace, the Chunde Emperor never loved him. Man… get him out of there. .
