“Baicheng?” Fei Qianchi walked out of the house. Today, he was dressed in a silver robe, his white hair was a bit messy and it was easy to see that he had done nothing to it yet. His cheeks were a bit pink, blue eyes filled with a glimmer as he wandered out of the house.
Two weeks, that was how long Fei Qianchi had been in this place for. His back was now fully healed with Baicheng’s help. As time passed for the two, Fei Qianchi grew closer to the man, opening up about his life. Baicheng easily got along with him, as if nothing was odd.
Fei Qianchi’s eyes gazed at the tree, spotting a familiar figure walking over to him.
“Are you awake now?” There was a teasing smile on the man’s face as he walked towards Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi smiled, leaning forward as he shrugged. “Didn’t I wake up earlier than yesterday?” He winked as he said this, letting out a laugh afterwards as Baicheng rolled his eyes.
Baicheng was dressed in a red robe. The red color made his face look even more pale, especially with his black hair. His hair was not tied up, merely held with a jade pin.
“Let’s go back in. I should fix your hair.” Baicheng shook his head as he leaned forward and flicked Fei Qianchi’s head.
Fei Qianchi moved back, holding his forehead with a dire smile. Well, Baicheng was the one who first got interested in his hair. After that, Fei Qianchi simply forced the man to tidy his hair for him.
“You were the one who said that you liked my hair.” Fei Qianchi argued.
Time made Fei Qianchi realize that Baicheng was different from Zhu Longwang. The man was more carefree, he didn’t care about anything. Baicheng liked to do as he wished, and although he could become cold and frightening at times, it was always as if the man was thinking about his past. Zhu Longwang was a cold man. Although he would soften with Fei Qianchi, there was still a side to him that made Fei Qianchi question himself. It was as if there was this line that they couldn’t cross, a line that neither wanted to tread.
As Fei Qianchi followed Baicheng, he sat on the chair. Baicheng stood behind his back, a comb in his hand as he carefully fixed Fei Qianchi’s hair.
“No, your hair is beautiful. White hair is especially rare.” Baicheng whispered as he ran his fingers through Fei Qianchi’s hair, gently combing it.
Fei Qianchi hummed in response, eyes closed as Baicheng combed his hair. The man’s actions were gentle, his finger softly running through his hair. Fei Qianchi felt relaxed.
“I was thinking,” Baicheng began to say.
“Yes?” Fei Qianchi asked. His eyes were still closed, a peaceful expression on his face.
“It’s time for you to leave.” Baicheng finally whispered.
Fei Qianchi felt the man’s hands pause for a moment before they resumed their careful actions. Truthfully, Fei Qianchi knew that he would be leaving soon. His injuries were already healed now, it was only a matter of time before he leaves. But… he was a bit afraid that leaving this place would mean never seeing Baicheng again.
“I know.” Fei Qianchi’s voice became more quiet. “But if I leave, it means that I may never see you again.” He opened his eyes, turning his head a bit to see Baicheng’s face. The man’s face was a bit distraught, as if questioning his actions.
But upon the man’s lips, a light smile made its way. “Even if you leave, it doesn’t mean that I’ll never see you again. I’ll visit often, so long as you allow me to. If you move to a different place, I would be able to come and go as I wish. After all, Fushui Sect is a place closed off to those who aren’t associated with the sect. I won’t be able to come even if I want to.”
At this, Fei Qianchi thought about it. What Baicheng said was true. Truthfully, Fei Qianchi should have moved out as soon as he ascended to an immortal but he didn’t back then. Fei Qianchi could continue to stay at Shuihua Peak, but that meant that his meetings with Baicheng would decrease.

Fei Qianchi looked at the empty space for a while longer. Finally, he made his way into the sect.
It was awfully quiet. Many of the disciples were not walking like normal. Fei Qianchi slowly made his way to Shuihua Peak. He furrowed his brows. There was a weird air surrounding the peak. He opened the gates, walking in with slow steps.
Fei Qianchi looked around. The peak looked the same, but there was a solemn air surrounding the place. He could hear a few voices gathered. He easily recognized the voices, but he didn’t understand what they were talking about.

Fei Shang and Tian Sichan looked at Fei Qianchi, whose body still looked normal and healthy.
“I’m alright. I wasn’t able to return for a while, but now I’m back.” Fei Qianchi smiled as Zhu Longwang walked over to him, biting his lips. “I’m really alright, Longwang.” His voice was soft.
Fei Qianchi could see the worry that remained on Zhu Longwang’s brows. His beautiful face was unable to hide a bit of haggardness on it.
Fei Qianchi reached out, his fingers pushing away the furrow on Zhu Longwang’s brows as the man flinched, discreetly backing away. Fei Qianchi froze for a short second, wondering why Zhu Longwang’s actions were so huge this time. Fei Qianchi smiled, eyes brightening. “Yes, a man saved me. Throughout these past two weeks, he was healing and aiding me in fixing my injured soul.”

Tian Sichan furrowed his brows. “All of a sudden? Before, you had never given this much thought.”
“I… believe that it is time for me to begin thinking carefully about my own decisions.” Fei Qianchi simply replied. He caught sight of Zhu Longwang. The man was awfully quiet, not saying a word.
Tian Sichan was quiet for a short second before he turned to Fei Qianchi. “Let me speak with your brother for a while first. There have been some other matters that Fei Shang had to take up during this time. Let Immortal Zhu take you back.”
Fei Qianchi could only nod his head. Things felt different. As if everyone’s eyes held some sort of doubt within them. He didn’t want to think too much. As he stood up, he turned to Zhu Longwang who stood up and began walking out first.
Fei Qianchi was silent, not knowing what to say. Even as he walked behind the man, it it felt like a barrier blocked him from Zhu Longwang.
“Where are we going?” Fei Qianchi finally asked. Zhu Longwang didn’t turn to him, but the man did pause for a bit.
“Back to Taohua Peak.” Zhu Longwang’s voice was soothing, finally warming.
“What happened? It feels like you have distanced yourself from me.” Fei Qianchi didn’t hide his thoughts. Having spent some time with Baicheng, he became more frank to his emotions and his thoughts.
Zhu Longwang didn’t answer for a while.
Fei Qianchi waited, not knowing why there was a bubble of anger within him. Before, the man was never this cold. Did something happen?
“No… it’s just… it feels like you’ve changed. I don’t know how to feel.” As Zhu Longwang turned back to Fei Qianchi, in his purple eyes, there was a somber gaze in it.
“But I haven’t. If anything, I’ve become more true to myself.” Fei Qianchi was not offended by Zhu Longwang’s words. His blue eyes remained the same, a small smile on his face.
Looking at Fei Qianchi, Zhu Longwang revealed a light smile. “Yes, I believe so too.”
As they arrived on Taohua Peak, they entered Zhu Longwang’s secluded courtyard, bypassing the falling flowers.
Fei Qianchi sat down on the chair as Zhu Longwang pulled out a kettle of tea, pouring it into two cups for them.
“Actually, we acquired news about the movement of the demonic cultivators. After all these years, the demonic cultivators have been quiet, but all of a sudden, they began moving. He looked at Zhu Longwang. Like always, the man’s face remained expressionless. His purple eyes were deep and entrancing, filled with a small glare behind it. His lips were red, standing out against his pale skin. Fei Qianchi’s hand tightened around his cup, snapping out of this thought.

Suddenly, Zhu Longwang stopped. He stared at Fei Qianchi, who was a bit blank. “That man who saved you… can he be trusted?”
At this, Fei Qianchi confirmed at once. “Yes. He had every chance to dispose of me if he had wanted but he patiently nursed me back to health. Actually, I grew quite close to him during this time.” As he said this, a bright smile came upon his face, his eyes lit up. There was a trace of deep emotion behind his words.
Zhu Longwang noticeably froze with Fei Qianchi’s words.

His voice was layered with an excitement to it that even he couldn’t notice.
Fei Qianchi continued to talk about Baicheng. After all, Baicheng was truly like that. Fei Qianchi felt quite close to him even though they hadn’t known each other for long. It also had to do with Baicheng being the man who saved him, but Fei Qianchi did not say that part.
As Fei Qianchi stopped talking, he turned to Zhu Longwang, whose expression was a bit cold. His lips were drawn tight.

“Ah.” Zhu Longwang snapped out of his daze. “Sorry, I got a bit distracted.” He rubbed his temples as he said this.
“You look pale. Are you alright?” Fei Qianchi asked. He finally noticed that the man seemed a bit more pale than usual. Even his figure looked a bit frailer.
Zhu Longwang’s cheeks were a bit flushed as he replied, “Yes. After you disappeared, I settled the deal with the Qin Family. After returning back, I was a bit unwell and suffered through some pain. But I’m better now, so no need to worry.”
“You did look pale even on that day.” Fei Qianchi nodded, accepting the answer. A light went off in his head. “Right, I still need to craft that pendant for you.”
