He withdrew some money and directly went and paid the deposit for that house he’d seen and liked. They didn’t even eat dinner, just bundled themselves and moved in at once.
In the middle of holding a meeting, Chen Di felt his phone, which was in his pocket, vibrate to let him know he had a message. He took it out, then when he looked at the screen, his eye twitched.
Cheng Chen usually didn’t participate in meetings and would instead just listen to the results. The managers would gather around his office desk and give their reports, then if he felt that there were no issues he would sign the documents.
Just as he was almost done signing all the documents, Chen Di came in, took out his phone and motioned for him to take a look.
Cheng Chen finished looking at the contents of the phone screen with a frosty face. He snorted, and a stack of contracts got run through by the pen he was holding.
Chen Di was watching his expressions and testingly asked, “Do you want me to go talk to him?”

Just as he was washing, he received a phone call from Chen Di.

These don’t go by irl logic, and stays with the premise of love and ‘dignity’….you can see that type of mary sue female lead in a lot of novels and dramas….
Either they first start loving the ml at the very start/early on, or they are very prideful and go 'oh, is being rich so great/有钱了不起呀?' and ‘don’t disrespect my feelings with your stupid money!’ and the like—while still accepting the money in the end by a series of events
