Story of Another UsCh52 - Destruction

For a while, Sebi thought he was dead again.

He was trapped inside the darkness for an incredibly long period of time, just floating in the vast void. Strangely, his mind was empty and he was numb. He didn’t feel alive at all, all the more convincing himself that he really might be dead. HVOoBd

Though, this momentary belief was quickly doused by cold water when he woke up not long after.

A bright light stung Sebi’s eyes the moment he opened them. He started to wonder if it was some sort of portal to death or to another life before it dawned on him that it was just a light on the ceiling of what seemed like a hospital room.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Then, the happenings before he blacked out poured into him. It turned out that he was really abducted, and he was currently strapped to a hospital bed. The room was empty aside from him, and the only means of entrance and exit are the door and a very wide window which are barred shut with a metal barrier.

Sebi suddenly shot up, angrily pushing out a telepathic and telekinetic force as he shook his arms and pulled against the straps. To his dismay, he felt his power being suppressed within his energy space, and the force that he pushed out bounded back against him. Il9TuF

It was too much on his body. Sebi suddenly jerked and coughed out blood, hissing in pain and frustration.

“Let me out! Fuck, if you’ve got the guts, come and fight me!” he began shouting with red stained lips, forcing his captors to face him. Sebi had no idea what to do in this situation – all he could think about was getting out of here to find Necomir. Sebi at least understood that these people wanted him, but he didn’t know for what or why.

Sebi continued shouting and taunting until his throat hurt, and it took at least an hour before someone finally came in.

The metal barrier revealed the glass door, which slid open as a woman in a white coat came in with five men in white scrub suits.

“Fuck, let me out!” Sebi cried out. “What did you do to Necomir?!”

“Calm down now, you’ll also have your turn soon,” the woman chuckled, her round black eyes a little creepy as she stared fixedly at him. “You’re a beautiful specimen, the doctor will love you so much. Your energy space is an incredible existence, I can see how deep and mighty your power is. Although Mr. Aquila is a wonder himself, you also have so much potential.”

Sebi’s eyes narrowed, his body shivering a little. “What do you mean by that?”

The woman smiled wickedly as she reached out and touched Sebi’s forehead with a finger. Her touch burned against Sebi’s pale and cold skin. “Your energy space… it’s a wonderful thing. Wouldn’t it be even better if it was pushed to its limits?” pzcEd0

Pushed the energy space to its limit…

Sebi’s mind reeled until he remembered the crime from Phohenus, about the Carvalho family that had died together… could it be possible that…

With wide eyes, Sebi was filled with panic and fear. He screamed, “You’re mad! You can’t do that to–”

“And why can’t we?” the woman chuckled as she finally moved away. She turned towards one of the men, who carried a secure box from which she procured a syringe filled with a clear, unidentifiable liquid. “Mr. Aquila will be the first ability user to receive our enhancing agent. As for how his body will adjust and accept a new ability… well, we are going to find out when we cross that bridge.” pl25XJ

“Wheel him out, we need to prepare his body. His energy space is too powerful, we won’t be able to do the surgery if we don’t subdue him properly.”

While Sebi and Necomir lay unconscious in the hands of this mysterious group, authorities of Helldrum have been alerted and have begun deploying rescue teams at the order of Vulpes Morsu himself. NhTpRV

“You have to hurry up, if we don’t find those two, the Minister Marshal will make trouble for us!” Akhenaten shouted anxiously at their house butler, Mr. Yang, through a video call.”

Mr. Yang wore a calm expression as he reassured him. “Don’t worry, young master. Rescue is already tracking them down. I will pay close attention and update you in real-time. Our forces are no weaker than those of Terra’s military.”

Misharu clicked his tongue as he worriedly fiddled with his lightband which transmitted radio communications of the rescue teams. “Really, we were right to give them those locators, but we were too compliant and underestimated their identities. We should have suggested giving them a flock of bodyguards eyeing them everywhere they go, or at least gave Necomir the idea.”

“I’m more impressed by whoever led the kidnapping,” Akhenaten sneered. “If they had the ability, an easy scan of their identities would reveal that they are protected by the Sun Crest. Are they not scared we would retaliate?” cFoq10

Misharu chuckled. “It just proves their identities aren’t easy. They probably have huge backers to have the guts to abduct the son of the Minister Marshal.”

“Young master, your friends have been detected to be in a desolate prison planet off to the north of Helldrum,” Mr. Yang reported. “The prison planet is protected by a high ranking official. It seems to be that this planet is housing a huge secret research base.”

Misharu felt the hairs on his back prickle as he looked cautiously at the feed of the dark planet Mr. Yang projected on the screen. A rare feeling of fear and panic dawned on him, and he exclaimed, “You must hurry! You have to take them out within an hour!”

Akhenaten sensed his emotions and felt worried. “Why, what will happen? Mr. Yang, please tell the rescue teams to hurry!” MKU25b

“I’m not sure if Mr. Yang is familiar, but that research base possibly performs ability implantation,” Misharu explained.

“But both of them are ability users.”

“And do you think that will stop them?” Misharu sighed. “Non-ability users aren’t the only ones who crave power. Akhenaten, we should contact Necomir’s sister, the one in the Ministry of Public Safety and Peacekeeping. This case will be in their interest.”

Akhenaten nodded and gestured to the butler. “Mr. Yang, please contact Ms. Aquila. Do it under the name of the family, they will understand the importance of this matter. Also, please tell my mom not to worry about this. I’ll handle it.” 2ei3cY

“Understood.”

Two college students inside the dormitory, through the butler of the Sun Crest, ordered several starships of various grades carrying forces of rescue teams to save two other college students. Although the operations were supposed to be conducted with utmost secrecy, their movements cannot be hidden.

Back within the research base, the researchers frowned at the fleets of starships entering their zone of influence. Alarms went off as these starships infiltrated their satellites and crowded into their starports.

“Dr. Juno, what should we do?” one of the white coats worriedly spoke as she looked at the screens flashing. “Someone must have reported our position to a ministry.” ySY75O

“Oh, don’t fret.” Dr. Juno was a woman with long platinum blonde hair and deep, dark eyes. She smiled, her hand hovering over the keyboard. Her face looked sinister under the dim lights as the colors from the screen flashed. “Deploy the mechs, buy us some time. I don’t want the operation on Mr. Aquila to fail. After that, we will hurry to evacuate to the eleventh base. Detonate this area, leave nothing behind.”

“How about Decebal Yan?” another one of the white coats asked. “Should we also continue the operation on him?”

“No, let’s transport him first, then we’ll think about what to do with him later.”

Dr. Juno finally turned around and headed for the door. A voice through her earpiece notified her that the Aquila child was ready for operation, and they were only waiting for her. g5cCqL

The doctor proceeded to where Necomir was confined, while another team acted to transfer Sebi to a starship as soon as possible. The woman who had greeted him was named Dr. Wulandari, and she was a bit displeased when she heard that Dr. Juno ordered for Sebi’s operation to be halted for transportation.

“Very well,” Dr. Wulandari took off her gloves and carelessly waved her hand to let the other researchers and helpers wheel Sebi away. “Go and get him to where he needs to be, I need to go to Dr. Juno.”

Chrysanthemum Garden.

The group promptly accepted her orders and wheeled the unconscious man out.

Inside Sebi’s mind, he was struggling to wake up. He was very aware of his surroundings and everything that was happening, but his eyelids were as heavy as pounds of steel and his muscles wouldn’t budge. He was getting very desperate, knowing he was safe for now but Necomir’s life was in danger. DxJ19F

“Decebal, don’t you hate this?”

Sebi’s alter spoke from the recesses of his mind. He almost forgot about him but now that he has made his presence, Sebi felt a bit wary. He couldn’t help but wonder what the alter would start saying at a time like this.

“What do you mean?” Sebi thought.

“Being powerful, but not enough… some puny mortals just sedated us and we can’t even save your boyfriend. Isn’t this shameful?” gO5ISt

Sebi didn’t know where to start – should he correct his alter about Necomir being just a friend, or tell the alter what the fuck he wanted to do now?

The alter sighed, sounding a bit helpless. “Decebal Yan… you really shouldn’t let these pathetic people trample all over us. We’re so powerful, how can they dare go against us and harm the people we cherish?”

Sebi thought this was sensible, it was apparent that his psyche was starting to mesh with the alter. In reality, these researchers are doing all these implantations because they want power for themselves – and only inferior ones would have such ambitions

Their inferiority proves too much, as they’re even scared to conduct those implantations on themselves. Such people dared to destroy the sanctity of a Terrarian’s natural ability but they are also scared of it? Y8blN3

How pathetic. Destruction is only for the ones who dare because they have strength.

Power suddenly surged through Sebi’s body. He knew – such pure energy shouldn’t be from his energy space. He felt it come from deeper inside of him, from the very core of his being.

Eyes suddenly wide open, red bled into his dark irises as Sebi used his telekinesis to tear through the straps binding him. The researchers wheeling him were completely alarmed, and they didn’t even have  the time to react when Sebi shot up on the bed to crouch on one knee. He then lifted a hand and forcefully clenched it into a fist.

Blood splattered everywhere as the bodies of the researchers exploded, coating the hallway with flesh and crimson and only Sebi remained unstained because he used a telekinetic shield to protect himself. There were several researchers at the time, and Sebi had to use much of his energy to do so. Although he had the means, his body was too weak to handle such a powerful flow of energy that he felt a rebound and he coughed out a mouthful of blood. haV4Kb

“You’re so miserable,” the alter chuckled. Sebi rolled his eyes and wiped his mouth as he jumped off the bed. He wondered why his alter didn’t take over, but it was for the better. Otherwise, Sebi might not only make these people explode. He should just be thankful he was coherent right now, albeit seemingly monstrous.

Setting aside whatever issues he had with his body, Sebi quickly used his telepathy and enveloped the whole base. Because of the orders to evacuate the base, there were less people inside the area than Sebi expected. Necomir was being operated on in a room near the exit way of the base.

The sight startled him before his heart pounded anxiously. Sebi angrily bolted towards the room, killing people along the way. Morality left his mind the moment they showed interest in messing with the life of the person he treasured. Sebi hated himself for not being able to stop the operation, in fear that what they were doing would just become worse if he intervened.

Alarms suddenly blared as a researcher screamed into the speakers. aNgZuC

“Decebal Yan is on the loose and has killed several research personnel! Immediately evacuate and arm yourselves! Shoot Decebal Yan on sight!”

Sebi gritted his teeth.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

He’d like to see them try! Let them give him a good show!
