It was nearly five in the morning when Nerio finally let go of Bellona. She was dizzy, the sleep long gone with only the terrible feeling of fatigue remaining inside her. She also felt a bit nauseated, having this feeling in the pit of her stomach like she was going to puke any time.
Who said Bellona had to have such a weirdass family?! She only wanted to bring her friends out for a good time together! Now she had to deal with the consequences of finding out about such a huge secret they had no authority to know and the fact that her bestfriend was secretly some shady aristocrat family’s heir!
When she felt terrible, Bellona had her instincts kick in. She was on auto-pilot as her limbs went off to take her to the person who she always felt safe with.
Chunmi was already asleep, but Bellona didn’t know better and found herself mindlessly moving the doorknob, like those ghosts or serial killers during the intense parts of thriller movies.
Good thing for Bellona, because Chunmi had been faithfully waiting for her ever since she went to bed. Bellona found herself being tugged into the bedroom not even five minutes later, then she was tucked under the covers with the warmth of Chunmi’s small body spooning her from behind.
“Mimi…” Bellona mumbled.
“Sleep,” Chunmi whispered as she gently carded her fingers through her blonde hair. “It’s been a long day.”
Bellona sighed. “Can’t sleep.”
“Why?”
“You have a crush on my neurotic older sister.”
Chunmi fell silent in an uncomfortably long duration. Bellona pouted as her heart cracked, and she was really about to storm off the bed and go back to her bedroom like a dog who needed to tend to her wounds if not for Chunmi belatedly burying her face into Bellona’s back and laughing.
“What’s so funny?!” Bellona whined as she wiggled to face Chunmi. She forcefully broke away from the cuddle and pinned Chunmi down, frowning and looking very aggrieved.
The woman beneath her had her cute face scrunched in an amused expression. It made Bellona’s heart itch, but she couldn’t act upon it. She could only whine as she buried her face into Chunmi’s abdomen.
“I don’t have a crush on your sister,” Chunmi finally coaxed Bellona, her hands reaching out to perch on her forearms and caress her. “I just think… you both look really similar.”
“You probably think she’s prettier,” Bellona sadly said.
“Mn? How could that be?” Chunmi chuckled. “When I saw her, I was amazed to see that someone could be pretty as you.”
Chunmi treated her words like they were gold, but everytime she opened her lips, it always made Bellona’s heart flutter.

Sebi must have been so tired that his dreams became really weird.
During his slumber, Sebi found himself floating amidst the starfields of space. It was so quiet aside from a weird buzzing noise surrounding him. It was very low though, almost like something distant.
“Luheus, I am sorry for doing this.”
In front of Sebi was a golden light from which an unearthly voice spoke. It was blinding, but Sebi could see from within this light a creature – one that seemed to have a body of rotating circles filled with thousands of eyes. It also had wings, each feather having eyes as well. It was a horrifying sight, but Sebi didn’t feel fear because of this entity.
Instead, Sebi could feel a weird, strong sense of anger within his chest.
“What are you going to do?!” Sebi suddenly found himself growling as red flickered around him until he blazed, like a red star. This glow seemed to be so strong that close asteroids and planets unfortunate enough to be close by began to shatter.
It seemed like Sebi was playing a character that wasn’t his own within this strange dream.
“You cannot continue to exist like this anymore,” the golden light of ten thousand eyes spoke. “Destruction has system, it is natural and gradual. You have been overcome by lust for chaos, thus you must repent and be reborn to scatter all that evil that has tainted you.”
From within the golden light shot out ethereal chains of light that wrapped around Sebi. Each chain burned Sebi’s skin, the pain so strong that he screamed pitifully.
“Qhysion! Let go of me or I will–”
Before Sebi could finish what he would say, the dreamscape flashed and gave him a different scene.
This time, Sebi seemed to be an omnipotent being, an audience, just watching the scene like it was a movie. A girl with short silver hair laid on a bed while people in white fussed around her, connecting her to various apparatus before they proceeded to conduct a series of surgeries on her.
After a long while, the woman suddenly woke up. The people in white coats buzzed excitedly as they scrambled to leave the room and head to the observation space.
But before they could make it to the door, the woman lifted her hand and shouted as a black vortex appeared on the door and began sucking the white coats in. The ones who hadn’t been sucked in yet held on to a bunch of equipment for their lives, but the woman on the bed began shouting again, almost looking like she was possessed. Three more vortexes appeared, sucking every person in white coat in.
Before Sebi could understand what was happening, he jolted awake.
It was only around noon when everyone finally felt rested enough to get up. Upon coming out of the hallway, a couple of servants were waiting for them and led them out to have a proper meal with the hosts.
“Greetings,” the Yahontov patriarch greeted the young adults as they entered the wide dining hall. Nerio and Minerva were already at the table, busying themselves with the morning news on their tablets. “You came right on time, I just finished cooking the last dish so everything is still hot and fresh.”
Vsevolod Yahontov was a house husband who retired from managing the agency because of his failing health. Since he could only stay idle at home, his cooking had intensely improved. Sebi could practically smell the culture off of the aroma of the food that he had cooked and was so eager to get a bite of everything.
Bellona wore a dark expression all the way through this ordeal, but she could not do anything about it. Their father had personally cooked food for them, and she really didn’t have it in her to go against him.
“Apologies, everyone, for the inconvenience we made you go through last night,” Minerva spoke once everyone was seated. “Nerio has spoken enough on our behalf, so I’ll just be here to offer you support on whatever you wish to do during the following days of your vacation.”
“Our first wish would be for you people to leave us alone,” Bellona grumbled as she poked in irritation at the chicken on her plate. “We want to follow our itinerary without weird tests from you people.”
“That could be easily arranged,” Minerva mused.
“I’m serious,” Bellona whined. “Stop embarrassing me in front of my friends! Who on Terra would want their friends to be suddenly involved in crime scenes and illegal human activities?!”
Sebi really should find this whole situation awkward, but he found himself eating his food like it was popcorn while watching the exciting family drama.
Vsevolod raised an eyebrow at the two ladies. “What is Bellona talking about?”
“Last night, mom and Nerio made me take that damned test with my friends!” Bellona complained to her dad once she sensed like he had nothing to do with it.
“Minerva, we talked about this,” Vsevolod sighed.
“Why? Bellona is with a couple of very interesting people,” Minerva rolled her eyes as she lifted a glass of iced tea to her lips. “How could I possibly miss the opportunity of seeing their prowess?”
Bellona was speechless. “What the hell, mom! My friends aren’t here to gratify your satisfaction!”
The Yahontovs continued bickering while Sebi, Misharu, Necomir, Chunmi and Misharu looked on like they were watching a family drama show.
After a while, Bellona managed to lead his friends out of that situation and finally initiated their real vacation.
Behind the property was a beach which was their first stop for their vacation. Everyone gathered their belongings then excitedly made their way down the sandy slope.
“The last one is a loser!” Akhenaten cackled out loudly as he stripped down to his swimming trunks and ran to the seashore like a maniac.
“Not fair!” Bellona yelled as she hastily threw her bathrobe off to reveal her one-piece hugging her good figure then rushed out to race Akhenaten.
“Weirdos,” Misharu grumbled, but he and Chunmi still rushed to follow after them.
Sebi’s eyes glittered happily as he stared at the vast blue waters up ahead. It was his first time seeing such a sight in person, so he naturally felt excited as well.
Though when he remembered that he and the original host of this body couldn’t swim, Sebi couldn’t help but feel a bit bitter.
Noticing this, Necomir stood in front of him and asked, “You don’t know how to swim?”
Sebi sadly shook his head.
“I can teach you,” Necomir offered as he suddenly took off his bathrobe. “It’s always important to know basic life skills like this.”
The glum Sebi felt suddenly dissipated when he was given a full view of Necomir’s wide, muscular chest. It was replaced by fluster, making Sebi fumble around like an idiot before eventually saying, “No need!” and making his way to the beach with red cheeks. Necomir was left alone, still wondering what just happened.
Akhenaten, Bellona and Chunmi boldly got themselves into the sea water to play. Meanwhile, Misharu was still on the sand, wiping sunscreen all over himself. He saw Sebi’s strange redness and offered his sunscreen to him. “Is your skin that sensitive? Come here, I’ll help you put this on.”
Just so he can have anything to do, Sebi let Misharu help him apply sunscreen. He needed something to distract his brain from coming up with the image of Necomir’s beautiful chest that seemed to be asking Sebi to touch it–
