Dr.Yves clicked off the pen light. He pushed his glasses back up onto his nose.
“Okay, it looks good. I’m gonna leave some ointments for scabbing. But otherwise you should be good.” He said.
Dex let out a breath.
“That’s great. Can I look now?” Kloh asked, his voice muffled.
“Are you gonna freak out again?” Beau asked from where he stood by the front door.
Kloh blushed and Dex laughed.
Rewind to twenty minutes ago when Beau had brought Dr.Yves to give Dex a check up. The couple were lying in bed playing games when Beau had knocked and announced their arrival. Kloh and Dex got out of bed. Dex sat on the edge while Kloh went and opened the door. Dr.Yves greeted them. They entered and Kloh went to sit by Dex. Everything was fine, Until he caught the scent of Beau’s cedar wood pheromones. In an instant he had Dex wrapped in a blanket, his body hidden away and he was releasing pressure at the other alpha while growling. Yes, growling like an animal. It took a minute for it to register what he did as Dex violently jabbed him in the side.
“Kloh, you idiot, let go” Dex pushed at him.

Kloh let out a breath and slowly pulled it open as if it was going to explode.

He had seen the contents of the box before Kloh did. And with just a cursory look he could tell exactly what his dad had stored away for him. Confused, Kloh turned the back to face him. From the door, Kloh couldnt help but laugh at Wesley’s over the top reactions. He also agreed with Dex. Without Wesley being there and being strong enough to deal with Dex till he or Mars or Beau came, something devastating might have happened. In his heart he reinforced the idea of taking Wesley and Mars out for dinner as a thank you. Kloh decided to head to the bathroom to give the two some semblance of privacy.
As Wesley’s dramatics slowed down and he wiped his tears, the look slowly changed into one of mischief. Dex caught the look and almost grimaced. Wesley grinned at him and gripped his shoulders. Before he could even turn back, the phone started vibrating as multiple messages back to back were received. Kloh cursed. Then the phone rang again. He snatched it up, answering the call.
“Someone better be fucking dead or dying. What the fuck do you want?” He practically growled into the phone.
“Where are you?” A very familiar voice filled the speaker.
Kloh’s face clouded with anger.
“How the fuck did you get this number?”
“I’ll answer your question if you answer mine.”
“Fuck off and fuck you.”
Kloh hung up the phone. He took a moment to collect himself. Dex’s hand patted his thigh. He turned to look at his pretty boyfriend and some of the anger in his chest diffused.
“You okay?” Dex softly asked.
He wished he knew the answer to that question.
