Translator's Note

Ahhhh- this chapter was hard to translate, but it was fun reading Qing Hong pour his heart out and attack He Jun with cringy pick-up lines, and He Jun (A Fei) just responding with indifference. ><

On another note, we meet the Puppeteer again. For those who forgot, he’s the ghost (Zheng Hui, aka the deliveryman) from the second arc, Neighbourhood.

I mean, I felt it was obvious that the blood went to create the child from the get-go, but I was worried if I mentioned it, it might spoil it for someone else. 😬 It’s been tough holding it in and not commenting. At least, I’m pretty sure I haven’t commented about it…

  12. As expected, the blood was for the child. Will retrieving He Jun’s blood mean it doesn’t exist, then? If the ghost is the kid then that’s really going to pit him against the biggest opponent… (To be fair we definitely got some clues about the possible relation between blood and child that Ren Yifei didn’t, on top of his spending a good chunk of his time just trying to survive haha)

    “So what I saw was fear” is such a cool line that really fits with his character, his emotional fluctuation is seriously lacking so I can imagine it’d be interesting for him to have them categorized by an outsider that way. Really I love all the descriptions of emotion in this section, such a fascinating character

  14. I’m still confused who the ghost is, is it the child? Since it’s the one recieving ‘nutrients’.

    What if it’s actually Senior brother, the body that mc is in….

    I guessed it was Junior Brother at first but he’s out. Then Junior Sister, still unsure. Then the child. I am confusion. This arc is harder to find the ghost than the other 2 arcs.
