My interpretation of the situation: A-Fei either can’t or wouldn’t let himself experience emotions directly and instead experiences them through the characters he plays. This means when he’s in character the character’s desires come first. Scarlet Witch would do anything to find out his and his friend’s origin but current A-Fei doesn’t have the power to do that. But he could have that power if he unsealed. So A-Fei’s desire not to unseal is less important then Scarlet Witch’s desire for power so unseal it is.

I think it will actually be good for A-Fei to merge with the separate part in that slow tempo. He is, still, in a tough situation, but he’s free from toxic pressure, so I think his mind is healing.

About Ah Fei’s seal: Personally, I think everyone lives with sin — greed, pride, lust, envy, sloth, wrath, and gluttony. It’s just that some people vehemently reject it, others are unaware, and only few accept it and harmonize with it, knowing about their flaws but being able to control themselves and looking for ways to cope with it. Of course Ah Fei’s situation is kinda different, but… I honestly can’t quite remember what about that Evil Ghost twin or what that is that the Evil System left was so dangerous.
Also, wishing Ah Fei great success and delight. Having to wait a week for the next two chapters really makes me jittery…

I believe the Evil system’s goal was to make Ren Yifei become evil, by exposing him to countless helpless tragedies and painful evils. He copes with it by taking more and more villain roles in real life, making the characters he plays evil to keep the influence on his real self at bay.
It’s a decent coping mechanism, but that also means he’s avoiding the ‘evil’ self that he’s slowly becoming by breaking them apart and sealing their respective emotions to the sins. That’s why he felt it was dangerous, at least in the real world. Now that he’s in Cape of Desolation and playing as these NPCs, he’s slowly able to release them, be it due to necessity or to heal.

If it follows the typical order that the seven sins are usually listed in then he should have unlocked lust. No clue what power he gains but I’m looking forward to the romance plot progressing faster now that A-Fei is horny, lol.

So glad the girl is indeed the ghost, the guy deserves a bit of pain. And Saman got to hear Ren Yifei call his name, congratulations haha. I really do love that Ren Yifei holds these characters’ wishes in such high regard, that he’d go so far as to unseal himself explicitly because of those who believed in Scarlet Witch as much as Scarlet Witch’s own desires. There’s nothing more important to him than following through for them, even though he doesn’t owe them anything at all. It’s probably good he has someone like Saman around to veto his more self-destructive methods, though, even if I am curious about his full original plan—he’s survived so much already, he really doesn’t take suffering through a bit more very seriously
