   • SAME! Maybe he does recognize A Fei, but he’s just talking to himself about hypothetically raising him??

     • Yeah, you might actually be right, that might be red herring thrown by the author. I mean, we did have a lot of guessed in Saman’s inner monologue in earlier chapters… Although there was a lot of emphasis made on how A-Fei’s eyes don’t have a human expression at all in this instance. If A-Fei successfully fooled Saman, that’s going to be HILARIOUS.

       • I mean, it kinda feels weird about how much the author is emphasizing the inhumanness in his eyes, I guess it’s meant to really just zoom in more on his acting skill and how much the character lore (that he currently knows) is etched into him and how good he acts it out…

   • Perhaps he trusts A-Fei’s acting so much that he thinks the real Scarlet Witch would be just as cute?

5. Saman rescued him and doesn’t recognize him, yet he still acts like a lovestruck fool. But he won’t be able to get the Scarlet Witch’s ghost card — that’s Ah Fei’s to take.

   Also, considering how Saman prided himself in being able to recognize Ah Fei, he’ll probably be stumped again at the end of this instance. “Darn, fooled yet again!” or something like that, tho I think he’ll fall even more for Ah Fei after this.

   • yes, yes we need to drag the man’s confidence back down to the ground, after all it’s our Acting Emperor Feifei he’s against, you maybe be able to recognize him once but that doesn’t mean he can’t fool you again…

   So the ghost’s real body is the scarlet witch and the soul is in another body? And the hope is for monsters and humans to coexist or at least for humans to accept monsters as intelligent, emotional beings? I figured out the story but have no idea who the ghost (soul) is =_=Confused.jpg

   • I lowkey suspect that Scarlet Witch is the key, but not the ghost. I suspect his mother. Maybe her soul lingers around or something like that. However, I kind of remember that it was said before that the player could enter the role of the ghost… But I don’t know how getting the card would work in that scenario.

     • I too think she is suspicious. For one she seems to know about the scarlet witch (asking that “handsome player” what he was like) and seems to suspect her mothers death. And she’s mentioned very often, so is definitely important. Or it’s that the author is just too talented in baiting us 😵‍💫

15. I love how Saman is basically sure this is Ren Yifei and is still treating him like Scarlet Witch. Then again, he’s well aware that Ren Yifei won’t break character for him, so if he wants him to do something he has to make it reasonable for the character themself to do it. Their interactions are really too good

19. Bad review for Saman. I don’t like it when MLs interrupt MC’s plan for their selfish reason. Many might not agree with this but honestly. This novel was better off without romance.
