  6. Hm? There are so many possibilities now for the ghost. People who directly satisfy the clues or are related to someone who does. The ‘abandoned child’ could relate to any of the other test subjects or this hunting team captain. I mean they’re basically all being tossed away one way or another by this survivor base. They also satisfy the ‘night hunter’ and ‘sacrifice’ clues. And as related to the test subjects could be a researcher or the scarlet witch’s mother (or even the sister?).

    And of course there’s the big clue of showing the captain’s perspective right there at the end of the chapter. Hahahaha

    • MY LITTLE BRAINCELLS CANNOT COMPREHEND, but yea the captain’s POV at the end also got me wondering if he’s a key character, he’s also a little bit irritated with light…

  7. Gotta love Ren Yifei making everyone question their life choices! Scarlet Witch deserved better, he really did. I’m starting to wonder if his mom wasn’t actually disfigured at all, but the similarity in appearance was so obvious she started hiding so no one would guess what she’d done to her child. I’m also wondering if this princess of the base is “little nine,” though I guess if that were true she wouldn’t be able to eat…maybe. Let’s focus on our main couple rather than consider to what precise degree these people are absolutely morally deficient. I mean, look at that size difference! A delight
