Yep, as mentioned, the chapters are originally pretty short. I translate pretty slow, and I also don’t have much time for translating unfortunately because university sucks souls.
Japanese webnovel authors don’t get paid like Chinese webnovel authors (unless they get published as light novel) so JP novels’ chapters can vary in length by a lot (this one is on average ~1000 characters per chapter except some wild ones which go up to ~4000).
