Our Sweet DaysChapter 37

Naturally, Sun Fang needed to show off his new pool.

It was a gorgeous pool out on his balcony, with a wicked view and a fantabulous design. His butler had made it for him! Obviously, it would be a crime against nature itself for him to not show it off. Thus, he invited Mo Cheng over for a movie night. It was the first time he’d see the other man since he’d gone to visit Mianmian and he was suitably excited about it. psdAMr

By which he meant, Sun Fang was running around the apartment and, well, doing nothing at all. He would clean… but Ivy already did that. And he didn’t really know what else to do, so he was just walking around and making noises like he was thinking deeply about something.

He’d already gotten dressed; a snazzy combination of a long, expertly swishing purple skirt and loose, long-sleeved black shirt that kept sliding down over one of his pale shoulders. It always did that whenever he wore it—he quite liked it. At present, there was only a few minutes left until Mo Cheng’s expected time of arrival and Sun Fang was considering whether he should sit down and try to relax. Maybe play a game while he waited.

He sighed. Crossed to the other side of the hallway and leaned against the wall, plucking his phone out of the skirt’s pocket after another moment. Unlocking it, he’d just begin to start a new game when the doorbell rang.

Ivy poked its head out of the kitchen doorframe. ”Will you be opening the door, Young Master?” XuFOdL

”Yeah,” Sun Fang said and pushed his phone back down in its pocket. He straightened, glanced quickly at the mirror as he passed it and smiled, pleased. With a wide grin, he opened the door.

Mo Cheng stood on the other side, leaning back on the heels of his feet. When he saw Sun Fang, he smiled and said, ”Hello, friend. Long time no see. I was beginning to suspect you’d forgotten who I was.”

Sun Fang snorted. He stepped forward and hugged Mo Cheng, taking a deep breath as he did so. ”If only,” he mumbled. ”Can you imagine how much easier my life would be without you in it?”

”Ah, yes, I have irrevocably ruined your life. You’d better ask for compensation,” Mo Cheng drawled, his eyes glinting with amusement when Sun Fang pulled back and let go.

Mo Cheng walked into the hallway, the door falling shut behind him with a soft thud. The lock automatically engaged and Sun Fang stood back so that Mo Cheng could take off his shoes in peace. Together, they then padded further into the apartment to the living room where the biggest TV screen in his apartment was located.

Sun Fang threw himself down on the couch and splayed out, the skirt riding up to show parts of his legs. Mo Cheng’s eyes strayed for a second before he caught hold of himself and he walked over to sit down next to Sun Fang, the top of his cheeks slightly reddened. Sun Fang smirked.

”What will we be watching?” Mo Cheng asked, leaning against the backrest and turning to face Sun Fang.

”I was thinking Dinner at the Cortosa Station,” said Sun Fang.  oHOsj2

Mo Cheng’s eyes widened. He licked his lips and smiled, bright with glittering eyes like Sun Fang had never seen. ”A good choice,” was all he said, though. Sun Fang coughed to hide his laughter and nodded with a mock serious expression. Mo Cheng kicked his foot lightly and turned to look straight ahead.

Sun Fang stopped hiding his laughter.

Mo Cheng, huffing and crossing his arms over his chest as he slid lower into the couch, continued to glare straight head. He determinedly didn’t look at Sun Fang, his eyes glued to the TV. But his mouth betrayed him; it kept twitching into an almost smile only to be suppressed as he regained control of it.

Sun Fang waved at his butler when it passed by. Ivy waved back, evidently not receiving the telepathic request for cold drinks. Oh well. Sun Fang would ask for them later. Lm0ain

With a wave of his hand, the TV turned on. Sun Fang turned so that he was facing the wall, scooting slightly closer to Mo Cheng as he did so. Not so close that they touched, but close enough that they could touch if they wanted to.

It had been weird, going to see Mianmian and then returning in what felt like seconds. It had unmoored him slightly, and he wasn’t entirely sure where he stood now. What did he really feel for Mo Cheng? He wasn’t in love with him, but could he one day be? Could he picture waking up next to Mo Cheng for the rest of his life, saying good night every evening?

He’d kind of thrown himself into this relationship with no thoughts for the future, hadn’t he?

(And for that matter, was Mo Cheng in love with him? Could he imagine waking up next to Sun Fang every morning for the rest of their lives? Did he want their relationship to progress, or was he happy with what they had?) 7JqjXM

Clearing his throat, Sun Fang silently watched as the movie started playing. Mo Cheng settled properly into the couch beside him, spreading out as he stared at the screen with a riveted gaze. He’d clearly not been lying when he’d said that he liked this movie.

Sun Fang waved to Ivy the next time the butler passed, miming drinking something. Ivy nodded and quickly stepped into the kitchen, returning with two cold drinks barely a minute after. Mo Cheng accepted the drink without looking, his eyes still glued to the screen, and gave Ivy a distractedly mumbled ”Thank you” while Sun Fang grabbed his own glass. Sun Fang grinned at Ivy, whispering his own words of gratitude.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Ivy left and Sun Fang decidedly threw all his worries into the back of his mind and enjoyed the movie. While not his favorite, he quite liked it.

  1. Aaaa I finished binging through all the chapters. I quite like it so far. This just feels so real. All of these reminds me of how my first ever date went. Although we don’t really talk anymore, it feels great to be reminded of those times ☺️

  2. Somehow Mo Cheng seems to be slightly more interested in Sun Fang then he seems to be in him. I mean how he blushes at some skin exposed and Sun Fang only thinks about his ex-lover and wether he would be ok with living with Mo Cheng. 😅
