Awww~~~ It had ended. This novel is really beautifully written. I really love the way the author write about grief. You doesn’t always felt it immediately, it wasn’t always crying and sobbing, it could come at you at a moment you didn’t expected. The little details of daily life routine and conversations they had, is just so satisfying. Unfortunately we don’t get to see them go back but I guess it didn’t matter because we know that they’re going to be together no matter what happened and that’s enough.
This will probably come in my top 20 books where I actually finished reading and ACTUALLY enjoyed the journey!!💙

It’s so weird to see them stay in the modern world after everything, but I can definitely imagine them going back, 7 years later, and putting into use all that studying! They’ll reform the Dayu, build amazing things, create interesting projects and be known later as an emperor and empress who reigned in peace (or, at least, for the common people). SH will go back and either reform his little ex-crown prince or leave him out to his own. Whether he finds romance with him or somewhere else, who is to say? At least he’ll have a very good pair of friends at his side for the next many, many years.
I’m gonna miss this so much, I would have liked to read more about their return and what would happen with SH love life, but all in all this was a very fulfilling journey.
