  7. Xie Zhi, I love and give you a lot of leeway, but really… how can you not conceive that the hero might actually love you and be crushed by your body being ‘stolen.’ Even if you’ve got blinders about the love being romantic, you should be able to see his genuine affection.

    He’s black-bellied in the text because he lost everyone who was altruistically kind to him. Even when he gets a harem, there’s some lingering sense that they’re only with him now because he’s got the ability to be strong or to ability to hide his true self or his newfound royal pedigree. Only his mom and you treated him with compassion and protection even (especially) when he was his most wretched self, so of course you have the highest position in his heart.

  19. I really can understand why Xie Zhi’s career was on the rocks in his original life, in this story. He comes across as much too egomaniacal and childish throughout the story so far to be able to submerse himself into a role, instead of trying to grandstand out of persona. I like the rest of the story and characters, but I won’t deny being very disappointed that he didn’t get butchered before the coffin was opened. Now THAT would have been entertaining to read – Mu He permanently killing him, finding the grave empty, then finding out who the corpse actually was.

  21. Ok ngl, i actually don’t like xie zhi at all, he was interesting in the starting, but from the middle he became irritating as hell. He never takes feelings into account. Even if just thinking like they r characters, he’s so passionate for the female characters or to watch hero having sex (which i find really uncomfy tbh) when he can be passionate and so feeling about these things then why not, how mu he might really hurt and all. No he’s just always going on about blackening this and that. Even if that’s true can’t u be more compassionate like u r about watching others having sex. Yeah I’m mocking him. I don’t just like him rn that’s my opinion.
