Honestly speaking, I understand what Shen Jiaze felt so much; the peer pressure, the inferiority complex, the overthinking, and especially the insecurities he felt… I can’t say much bcs I’m not a better person than he is as I always keep everything to myself too sdfdsdghfd but I don’t think he’s to blame for everything? “but he almost made his lover die!” er, uhm… There are some more “push” that led to Gu Xi attempting suicide…is what I think. That is why I don’t like reading about their kind of relationship. I am a kinda person who cries very easily especially in a moments like that (cause god almost everyone has experienced that kind of shit in their lives at least once ). That is why I prefer fluff than drama
For me communication is the most important part in any relationship and Idk why many people think communicating with your partner is so easy.
The fear, stress and anxiety about the outcomes of the communication is deadly. When you think about the possible outcomes of your communication, the little bit of courage you develop to tell the truth to your partner also vanishes away.
But I just hope now that the pain they suffered within all those years will bring them happiness all their life.

Who was wrong, who was right? We all have our opinions, but if this was a real life couple, only their opinions really matter. And I agree that real communication is hard! I’ve been married 12 years and there are things that I won’t talk to my husband about (i say “won’t” because it’s my choice not to say anything so saying “can’t” would be a cop out) because I’m scared of the fallout or it’s too embarrassing.
