  1. I find this character – Huang Ji – refreshingly unusual. Maybe it’s because I don’t really read a lot of Xianxia novels, so I’m not that familiar with the tropes, but for now, my interest is piqued. 🙂

    I get the feeling I felt when I’m reading grandmaster’wife with these two and how they are concealing their abilities but on second thought the former was growing on emotions only since they’re op on the first place while these lovely pair is still growing on Cultivation and emotionally

  12. I’m surprised Tianheng hadn’t started using those spirit crystals they got from the tomb raid to provide his qi needs. But I guess they prefer to use pills because they’re “renewable”, since our MC can always make more.

  18. Huang Ji Is my favorite character besides the main pairing. Also, I ship him with Xi Shuanyun because he has the beast body and she has the heart thing. That is all🥰

  20. It’s rare to find “Huang Ji” this kind of person. I would use ‘they’ since I do not which one I should use. I’m not trying to be rude here (since I’m a woman myself) but here’s my observation so fat.

    Every female leads or female supporting roles in danmai novels I read is either ‘lady’ ‘womanly’ ‘enchanting’ ‘need to be protected at all cost type’ ‘weak’ ‘short’ ‘pretty/handsome’ ‘strong-the will kind of type’ and sometimes ‘no need man talk’. That’s fine, because that’s depend on plot.

    The female characters in here are completely different so it’s refreshing, really. For example, Human king. I thought it was man at first, until I reached it’s plot. So, that shocked me. And now, “Huang Ji”. I also thought that the number one spot it Sky leaderboard was a man. (Cause it’s always man in that spot in every wuxia danmei novel) So imagined my suprise that it was woman. Unlike other kind of woman, “they” no different with rough man. Don’t forget “their” height, where can you find a woman in 3 feet tall?

    So yes, I like this “Huang Ji”.
