Okay this is way more poetic (and I personally found it quite amusing) in Chinese but it takes quite a bit of explaining. The sentence actually says 不爱红装爱武装, which is from Mao Zedong’s poem, praising women in the 1960s for their heroism in contributing to the nation + their indomitable spirit of defending the motherland; no less than men. Here though, I suspect it’s being used to talk about Zhao Qingyuan’s sexuality instead, because 红装 can also refer to a young lady, but 武装 means armaments/military. The original poem (and my very badly translated version): 飒爽英姿五尺枪，曙光初照演兵场。中华儿女多奇志，不爱红装爱武装。Valiant and heroic is the five chi rifle, the light of dawn illuminates the drill parade. Sons and daughters of China aspire high, love not beauty but might. Wow that was worse than I thought it would be but yes… poetry is not my forte.
