The Ghost King's KeeperCh95 - Mozen meets Al’Bae

A night passed as halfway through, Ruzen fell asleep on Mozen’s chest. Leaving Mozen to ponder upon the information as he thought through things. He had expected as much. Ruzen had always been different because he had so much potential, there just needed to be a push to make him see himself in a better light. His lack of ambition was never a cause of frustration for Mozen, it was just something temporary that hindered Ruzen from seeing things differently.

Right when he thought of other things, he felt Ruzen moving. Looking down, he noticed that Ruzen was awake again, but he was in a daze, his expression very calm and serene.  vreLuC

“Do you want something?” Mozen asked, his eyes narrowing as he stared at the one in control. It was Al’Bae. They had been in contact before, so Mozen knew his expressions and presence like the back of his hand.

Since Ruzen’s soul had been brought to this world, this extra entity that should have been the dominant soul, had somehow managed to become an inferior secondary soul on the verge of dispersion. By rule, the dominant soul of Al’Bae would have been able to eat away at Ruzen’s soul, but because Ruzen’s soul was stronger, there was a reversal of situation, and it may be the reason for Ruzen’s memory being tampered with.

“Do you have another vessel prepared,” Al’Bae narrowed his eyes, leaning closer to settle himself above Mozen’s lap, “I told you before, I would do anything you want me to, just let me have my freedom. This body is mine, but I am willing to do anything if that means you won’t continue to erase my existence.”

Mozen watched with a solemn gaze as Al’Bae shifted up and down in a sensual way, his eyes glittering darkly. “Ruzen was meant to be my source of energy, but somehow, his soul was stronger than mine, and I ended up his shadow. You know how bad that is, my King, you know that if this continues on, this body won’t be able to handle it.”  21N6oc

Mozen looked impassive, “Then let him feed on you, you are unnecessary. You killed his original vessel, a punishment on your own soul is nothing strange.”

Al’Bae grit his teeth, “Just give me a vessel-“

“Silence,” Mozen commanded, throwing Al’Bae away as his body landed at the corner of the bed. “Do you really think we don’t know your misdeeds? Even after getting your freedom back, you won’t be able to continue onwards, you want us to protect you from your enemies? We don’t have patience for that.”

Al’Bae was agitated, even anxious, “I will do anything, even if it means taking away that godly essence that still lingers on Ruzen’s soul.”

“It is not necessary; we can handle it on our own.”

Just now, when Ruzen was talking about his past, he also mentioned he had nightmares after his brother died and he remained in a state of deep sleep.

Mozen had gotten a gist of what might have happened with Ruzen. Ruzen’s soul must have been incomplete after his accident and a deep period of sleep was proof of soul recovery. Mozen had noticed that Ruzen’s soul had been tampered with, so it could be a natural result based on an accident.

As for a that lingering foreign essence of God, it could be that Ruzen’s tampered soul attracted attention from a local God, who must have marked him for later use. It wasn’t unheard of. Incomplete soul would not reincarnate, so it was a good feeding energy for Gods.  i gJ5X

He lied to Ruzen when he told him that he didn’t know much about Al’Bae, in fact, he knew everything. But Ruzen was not ready to know everything, it was best to not upset him, that will only give Al’Bae a chance to attack Ruzen’s soul.

Al’Bae, this person was also a cursed one, but when he was being targeted by some higher entity, he used a forbidden curse to jump planes, ending up meeting an incomplete soul that resonated with his. Since Cursed ones were able to absorb souls that were similar, this Al’Bae killed Ruzen and fed on his soul. Then he found that Ruzen’s soul had already been marked by a local God. In fear of retaliation, he ran back to their plane of world.

Unlike cursed ones who could defy some of the world rules, Gods were unable to jump planes because these world rules bonded them to their lands.

Al’Bae had somehow managed to come out of his shell when Ruzen was in troop 69 barracks, scaring Ruzen into retreat as Al’Bae fed on external souls of troop 69, utilizing the time when another enemy invaded the troop as a distraction. Everyone thought that their old enemy killed troop 69 members, but in actuality, it was Al’Bae who was trying to strengthen his soul in order to dominate over Ruzen’s. But because Mozen’s energy was still lingering inside Ruzen’s body, the ingested souls were tampered with and Al’Bae could only watch as his plans failed. The energy was instead absorbed by Ruzen himself.  sKbTAv

Because Mozen bonded with Ruzen using the Gift of honor, he was well aware of what was going on with Ruzen.

Al’Bae had tried to dominate Ruzen’s soul several times, but Ruzen was stronger than he imagined, so every time, he failed.

Even He’Da had not been able to judge it correctly because Ruzen’s soul was too powerful to fluctuate during such power struggle. Mozen’s gift not only protected Ruzen from mental interference, but also saved his soul from being devoured. The reason for Ruzen’s earlier emotional fluctuations could have been because of the entire power struggle, although Ruzen may not have known this, it was there. And after he received the Gift from Mozen, the struggle lessened, giving him reprieve and a clearer mind.

Because emotional fluctuations could range from severe shock, to fear, to anxiety, to sadness, to happiness, it would strain a person’s soul and if the cause was unnatural, the more the grievances. It was a fortune that Mozen found Ruzen on time. He had kept all this to himself for long, so now was time for him to deal with it. His ‘care’ must be perfection. For if not for his ‘concern’ Ruzen wouldn’t have had what he had now.  PdrcWo

He was finally able to see Ruzen depending on him more often, and tonight Ruzen shared so many thoughts he always kept in hiding, it made Mozen ‘happy’.

Mozen had seen and heard enough to know how things went, but right now, he was also unable to grasp one thing… why Ruzen forgot his name… “Did you tamper with his memory again?”

Al’Bae grit his teeth in response, “No. You also know it. I can’t, your protection is too much for this little me.”

Mozen hummed, “If you make a promise of servitude, We have decided to offer you another vessel, as you wished for, but the vessel will be a human, you can’t crave for longer life span.”  rcEzQY

Al’Bae was silent for a long time, before he scoffed, “I just don’t want to get targeted again, you already know who my enemy is.”

“We will give you a new home, but you cannot experiment with curses again. That or… you can just die.”

Buzzing with inlaid anger, Al’Bae glared at Mozen, “What other choice do I have, if I don’t agree you will erase my existence, won’t you.”

Mozen didn’t reply, it was all a given. If two souls continued existing in a body, the body will rot. Mozen didn’t want that to happen.  T4mXwv

“Leave, We will call for you when Ruzen will go to sleep again, preferably by tomorrow.”

Al’Bae glared one last time in hatred as his eyes closed and his body fell forward, looking very soulless.

Mozen caught the body in time as he cradled his keeper in his arms. Ruzen won’t have to fear anything else. Mozen’s only concern now remained in regards to how a name could be forgotten so easily… he wasn’t sure if the struggle of soul caused such mishap or if it was something else entirely. He will find out soon enough.

If Ruzen continued to forget things even after Al’Bae’s soul had transferred to another vessel, then the situation would be difficult to tackle. He hoped things wouldn’t continue on that path.  T9FxSV

  1. Thank you for the update. I cant belive a cursed one is so powerful. So basically it is Albae who caused Ruzens death… But i wonder where that god essense came from 🤔

  2. Wow was not expecting Al’bae to be the one behind Ruzen’s murder 🤔

Anyways thanks for the chapter!! I can’t wait to start reading this story again 😊

  3. Awn, So Bae baby is been targeted, so sad, it feels like a side ship. It was so cute the Mozen POV, I was afraid he would be more indifferent or amm idk cold? Calculative? towards Ryzen, but he’s a cute baby.

And Bae baby is just fun, all went wrong, jjjjjj, ahhhhh, he was targeted in both worlds.

Amm what else, Ruzen’s parents, to loose both their childs is so incredibly sad, but I felt last time the mom will do something, perhaps the god that had initially targeted Ruzen in his world will want his food back? And he’ll use the Mom? In which case poor papa.

Jjjj but it will be fun, like, Bae baby, in he’s new human body, chilling at home, someone knocks the door and both gods (or whatever) wave and smile: Remember me? 😉😇 Innocent.jpg It’ll be the three-way of atonement for his nasty-ness.

    I side-tracked.

Mr. Blue has been officially degraded to Baby Mozen. I’m now a mommy fan.

  4. As understandable as it is on why he didn’t share his findings with ruzen, it would be better if he is able to when he could, preferably before ruzen finds it ouf from somewhere else
