When Ruzen found himself awake again, his head hurt and his stomach was aching. Not only that, but even his hands were shaking with the strain he put in them to move his fingers.
He hadn’t felt so shaky and withdrawn since a very long time, but it reminded him of his earliest days right after his transmigration. What happened?
He blinked his bleary eyes open and tried to take in the scene in front.
To his dismay, the white background and the snow white interior sparkled radiantly under the rays of the sun, and without any hindrance from the clouds or the shades, the whole room reflected brilliance and vibrancy. Normally, this atmosphere would incite happiness and freshness, but to Ruzen who awoke not even a second before, it was glaringly tough on his sensitive eyes.
He recalled that this room was known as ‘white room’ and it belonged to his excellency. But exactly where was the King and how come he was still here… tolerating a rather hungry stomach and an aching head?
Time passed and his brain send him a few unconnected dots to connect, seems like he had been… drugged to sleep?
This thought made him sour, like what was the King trying to do? He couldn’t understand his purpose at all.
A few fleeting thoughts came to him again, but by the time he really gave them attention, he was already trying to sit up, weakly moving to drag the heavy quilt away from his body and take in the entire room for a better understanding. He shivered when a cold breeze entered the room from the open window, and licked his warm body uncaringly.
Realizing something, Ruzen’s eyes widened and his mind grew fuzzy, he looked down at himself almost in shock and screamed internally. He was n-naked! Nude. Bare.
Gasping, he quickly got up from the bed in a hurry, almost falling on his bare butt. He thought at least he was left some dignity and still wore underpants, but no, how wrong he was, he was still naked, bare, totally nude.
Crying internally, he checked his body, there was not a slightest hint of redness or any shocking residue. He didn’t remember at first, but after checking up for the 3rd time, he finally… shifted his eyes lower. His pee pee looked intact and… normal… even his butt didn’t feel anything different, so exactly why was he naked?
Looking around the room, he didn’t find anything worthwhile and even the King wasn’t around, so what was the meaning of this all.
Feeling restless and disturbed, Ruzen’s gut grew heavier with anxiousness and fear, he had trusted the King yet here he was naked and bitter, weak, lying on a bed covered in a quilt, with not a soul around to tell him what happened.

Yet, just when his fears grew darker, a dim smell of food assaulted his nose. Turning to look, he found a food tray kept atop the corner desk, covered with a silver table cloth.

Master, where are you? Ruzen silently cried.
After finishing eating, Ruzen made sure to wrap himself well with the quilt he was provided with, in the cold room, the quilt was almost like a little furnace and he was glad for it, since he searched everywhere, but his clothes couldn’t be found.
Hours passed, and he received the meals for mid morning, afternoon, mid afternoon and even evening. The rays from outside settled beyond the mountain, and Ruzen was able to finally see how rich the night sky was. Getting bored from restlessness, he had decided to just gaze at the stars and galaxies visible, the vast sky even made him a little relaxed and lazy.
He yawned, waiting for so long was tiring, but he felt rather scared of leaving the room, he wasn’t sure if he could. Also, he had a feeling that the King would be back by midnight and then, they could have a little much needed chat.
This time he was slightly angry with the King, no matter what, drugging someone and forcing them to stay, the whole confinement process carried a sense of tyranny, which Ruzen did not view in good light. Answers had to be told, or he would be pissed.
He trusted the King, and if he wanted to work for the King, he needed stable ground where trust wasn’t a fleeting thing. Because his life was not a game, and anyone who would be in his place would feel similar emotions as him.
When it was almost deep into the night, the fire hearth burst into flame, and startled Ruzen, who was standing by the window, looking outside. Ruzen clutched the quilt tighter and waited for the King. He was pretty sure the time had come.
So right after, when he turned, he saw the silent King standing not far from him, still dressed like before, but this time, shorter in height and slender. Ruzen felt as if this whole physical change was a constant attribute of the Ghosts. Maybe since they did not have a solid physical body, they were able to change their shape willingly. Who knows, he wasn’t very good at grasping strange things. For now, his anger was enough to flame over someone’s hair.
“Majesty,” he greeted curtly, and he was well aware of his sharp tone, but he did not hide it at all, instead he felt like he needed to scream at the other some more.
When the King did not get any further response, he frowned, “We do sense your unsettled anger, what is the reason, did you not tell Us with surety that you were finally willing?”
The straightforward words held both accusation and gentleness, but Ruzen focused more on the accusation, his heart grieved. “You drugged me, your majesty, might I know the reason why? Also, you were the one who told me that we will do our first transfer just to check my compatibility or something, as if you will wait for my answer once we had done it for the first time, so pardon me, but I don’t get you. Are you trying to confine me?”
The ghost King didn’t seem fazed, instead he nodded as if what was said was right and he really was in the wrong… it left Ruzen unsettled.
“We did not confine you, and drugging you as you say, is not correct, We wanted to make you feel better, or else, three months of exchange would have taken a toll on your body. And We did give you a chance before, to back out, but… ” The King’s cold eyes assessed Ruzen’s wrapped body with a glint in them, “We can no longer let you go, We haven’t felt this good for a long time, your value is truly incomparable to those outside.”
Ruzen’s thought had halted the minute he heard, ‘three months’, what exactly was the King implying? “Your majesty… what three months are you talking about? Didn’t I come here yesterday?”
The King didn’t seem to have the patience to explain, but just by the look in his eyes, Ruzen considered that his conjecture wasn’t wrong. So did that mean, that he really was here all those days, trapped, doing a transfer? How was that possible, wouldn’t his body…
Oh, so the reason for that drug was to make him go into slumber?
“I don’t understand, three months is too long, how was my body… no, the question should be, why did it take so long, what, what happened?”
In answer, a slow graceful smile graced the King’s lips, his pale skin highlighted the curve too well, “We do not wish to explain, but We know you are aware of Our needs, we wanted to see how much your body could take, for three months, you were able to make the transfer, but right as the days passed after that, your body grew slower, the process almost stopped, until, We let you go voluntarily. Even an hour of exchange can cut off someone’s life span, yet, We were left speechless, you were able to handle the strain for so long, We felt greedy for the first time. Thus, We state this clearly, you can’t leave us, Not now, Not ever.”
Ruzen could hear the sincere honesty, the King wasn’t hiding his intentions and he didn’t even seem flustered when he voiced his greed, it was frightening.
It was good to point out that this situation represented the might of a Ruler, and as the young sapling, Ruzen couldn’t not follow his wishes. Rebellion was an option, but Ruzen suddenly felt that all his attempts to run would be for naught, and in situations where one was overpowered, it was a good choice to just submit.
Ruzen knew he wasn’t a valiant hero, who had alpha temper or warrior’s pride, he was just a normal man, this whole situation was actually glaringly obvious. If he backed out, he may have a chance now, but the King’s voice echoed in his mind, he knew if he tried to leave, there won’t be a second chance given to him. He did not have enough knowledge still, and his skills weren’t as stable, to run away from responsibility was not right, and being as decisive as he was, he knew that his heart had already made the choice when he decided to meet the King on his own accords.
“Is the transfer usually so long?”
It was a stupid question, but what Ruzen wanted to know wasn’t whether the exchanges were long, but whether the King’s health required him to exchange energy for this long. 3 months was a long time, if he did exchanges for this long every time, wouldn’t that concept be very obsolete and outdated? The people would be missing their ruler, and Ruzen would be missing his opportunities and days. Or… was the King just trying to test him?
“This was the only time We forced your body to cater to us,” the King clarified seriously, his smile long gone, “next time would not be long, over the course of years, we will refill our energy and cleanse our body, so there is no need for any rushed procedures.”
“And my clothes, why am I not wearing one?” One could hear the slight edge in the accusation, but the King did not mind the boy questioning him, since the matter involved someone’s dignity.
“The more the contact, the better the result.”
Ruzen understood the concept, but he was still awkward, a bit unwilling to just submit, “Your majesty, it is not right to take off my clothes when I am in slumber, I feel…” he couldn’t say it, he just left the sentence short because it was all he could do. It was so embarrassing, how infuriating. Even if they were both men, Ruzen now no longer felt safe in his skin, he felt as if it wasn’t right even for two males to touch each other while being naked.
The King didn’t answer back, but a slight tilt of his head made Ruzen rethink his complaint. His master did say that Ghosts weren’t like humans, so wasn’t he thinking too much? Yet he couldn’t even fathom how it would feel like to be touched by another so intimately, it was odd to not know something when you were told it had happened, it made him annoyed.
Not to forget that he was still slightly uncomfortable with this whole deal.
And also, exactly which places did the King touch? He was curious to know, and also dreading that knowledge at the same time.
Sighing in defeat, when Ruzen shifted his gaze away from the King, no longer being able to make eye contact, a strong force, like pressured wind swept past him, and when he looked up next, he saw the King’s face barely inches away from him. So close, that he was able to decipher the thin strands of grey in the blue and greens of the other’s eyes. The strange glimmer was unfathomable and too deep to ignore.
A slow shift occurred as the deep gaze lingered lower and a pale finger tugged at the wrapped quilt, “We can leave you awake this time… aren’t you curious?”
Ruzen shuddered in response. The King’s aura was suddenly too strong.

Waaao! This chapter was very exiting to read. Thank you for your hard work.
Such a bold declaration. The King is greedy for the energy transfer. Can’t wait to see when he starts getting greedy for Ruzen‘s body and heart. 🤭

harrumph Couldn’t resist the temptation to read it again and since I felt my first comment to be lacking… here the follow up:
I just love the way the King is talking.
💞😍💖 I mean his whole way of speaking, the way how he speaks and the way he talks outside of human concepts. I mean he is a Ghost and certainly has other values then humans. Really like the whole stuff about them not understanding certain actions from the other due to their “racial?” Difference. 😘
Oooooooooh
pee pee Ha
