The Disabled Tyrant’s Pet Palm Fish [Transmigration]Chapter 52

Li Yu refused to eat; Jing-wang also felt very distressed. He called Wang Xi over to feed fish. Before when Xiao Yu had a disagreement with Jing-wang, the little carp would still let Wang Xi feed him. Now he was not even giving Wang-gonggong any face.

Bastard. You guys are on the same side. Fish is not stupid! r0dh2y

Li Yu very stubbornly starved for two days, feeling like his entire fish body had become so skinny that if he didn’t pay attention, he’d float away.

No matter what he did, Jing-wang couldn’t make the angry fish happy. Also, he still didn’t know why Xiao Yu was angry. Therefore, he found Wang Xi to discuss how to resolve this situation. Because he never let Wang Xi know about Xiao Yu’s real identity, he could only explain what was going on with the fish and person separately. Completely baffled, Wang-gonggong thought his highness was encountering two different pressing issues. On one side, Li-gongzi had a falling out with Jing-wang and disappeared without a trace. On the other side, Master fish gave up on living and was refusing to eat.

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

In the past, Master Fish was most important in his highness’s heart. Ever since Li-gongzi came into the estate, his highness also pampered Li-gongzi plenty as well. Wang Xi felt like both sides required serious and careful considerations.

He first inquired about what happened prior to Li-gongzi becoming upset. Because Jing-wang sent everyone far away that day, no one knew what happened. Wang Xi could only go back and ask Jing-wang himself. Jing-wang used his eye gestures to express himself . Then he also wrote a few words. Wang Xi felt so surprised he was wordless. g9tAbp

So Li-gongzi refused to sleep with Jing-wang??

If this were anyone else, Wang Xi would have dealt with them according to the estate’s rules. However, this was Li-gongzi. His highness also didn’t seem to have any plans to criticize. Wang Xi immediately placed the estate rules aside and said to Jing-wang: “Your highness, the top priority is to first find the person.”

Hearing this, Jing-wang felt somewhat depressed. Xiao Yu refused to change forms, which meant he didn’t want to see Jing-wang. How was he supposed to “find” Xiao Yu?

Wang Xi noticed Jing-wang’s expression. Li-gongzi often moved about inconsistently, perhaps it’s not easy to find him.

phNRKg

Wang Xi said: “Then why did Gongzi leave in a hurry? Do you know the reason?”

Jing-wang shook his head.

Wang Xi: “……”

Wang Xi was only a personal servant. Although he has seen plenty of storms and waves, he didn’t really have much romantic experience. He also couldn’t think of any plans just by seeing Jing-wang’s gestures. nsoEOJ

However, Wang Xi earnestly wanted to help Jing-wang share his troubles. He tactfully stated: “Regarding Li-gongzi, why don’t you ask the heir of ChengEn Gong?”

Jing-wang was stunned briefly. This was indeed a good idea. Ye QingHuan was very quickly invited to the estate.

“TianChi, you finally need to request something from me?” For Jing-wang to ask him something for once, Ye QingHuan was so happy that his face split from smiling too much.

Jing-wang maintained a heavy face. Wang-gonggong told Ye-shizi everything he knew. Afraid that Li-gongzi had a thin face, Wang-gonggong did not mention his name. Following his highness’s expression, Wang-gonggong changed the name to ‘the person his highness liked’. uqo1eP

Hearing such a story unexpectedly, Ye QingHuan scratched his chin and said: “It’s rare for you to ask me anything. I also want to help you, but you know I……”

Ye QingHuan smiled a bit embarrassingly: “I’m about to get married to the princess. I don’t even know what to do myself. I’m afraid I won’t be able to help you.”

Jing-wang: “…….”

“However, my mom told me that I should treat the princess well. If I have any side wives or concubines, they all must be dismissed. After getting married, I am only allowed to treat the princess well. If I like her, I also need to let her know as soon as possible. A husband and wife shouldn’t have fights that last through the night……” DsQygX

The ChengEn Gong couple had been married for dozens of years. Their feelings were true. Madam ChengEn taught her son plenty  of knowledge and they were all words of experience. Ye QingHuan learned them all one by one.

“Although our status is not the same, I think the logic is still the same. If you really cared about him, you should first express your feelings. To immediately want him to sleep with you, aren’t you being too impatient?”

Please visit chrysanthemumgarden (dot) com

As he listened, Jing-wang became somewhat entranced.

Was he too impatient? 5i PQZ

Perhaps a bit. However, no one has ever taught him this. Was Xiao Yu angry because of this?

He really should make things clear for Xiao Yu and also let Xiao Yu know his feelings. However, Xiao Yu refused to change forms and refused to see him right now. How was he supposed to remedy this situation?

Jing-wang sank into deep thought. Ye QingHuan kept chattering nonstop, excitedly talking about the details of the wedding preparation occurring at ChengEn Palace Estate. Jing-wang already stopped listening.

Things still continued separately. The human form Xiao Yu needed an explanation. At the same time, he still needed to make the fish, who was refusing to eat, have at least something to eat. MXGjnF

Wang Xi couldn’t see through Li-Gongzi’s heart, but he had quite the skill in serving the Master Fish. Fish refused to eat. It’s not like he can pry open the fish’s mouth and stuff the food inside. The only thing they could do was try to feed it more. Wang Xi suggested that Jing-wang should pile all of the food that fish liked to eat in front of the fake mountain cave. Perhaps after a while, the fish will eat it itself.

So much delicious food, going to waste just like this. 0q7ULN

Li Yu persevered for two days, entire fish visibly withering away, even his scales lost their shine.

Seeing Jing-wang anxiously trying to make him happy and summoned plenty of people over to take care of him, Li Yu felt a bit distressed. Jing-wang didn’t actually know that Li Yu was his pet fish. He might be thinking that his pet fish was sick and stopped eating. Yet recalling the things that Jing-wang did to him, fish couldn’t help but get angry.

Refusing to eat made him feel a little better because it gave him a sense of vengeance. However, if fish starved for a long period of time, he’d die of starvation first……

Wait a second. Li Yu thought absentmindedly and hungrily. It’s not like he did anything wrong. Why should he have to starve himself? 0lxSkZ

Would fish starving himself make Jing-wang realize why fish was dissatisfied?

It didn’t seem possible.

Li Yu suddenly thought it through. He can’t torture himself just because he was angry. He already starved himself so much he only had a layer of skin left. The food was placed just not far from him. The last of Li Yu’s self-preservation kicked in. Still, he waited for a time when Jing-wang wasn’t present to weakly swim over. He wanted to quickly eat a little. It was fine just eating a little.

The little carp finally swam to the entrance of the cave. The smell of food that he had not seen for a long time made him feel moved to tears. However, he didn’t even have a chance to take a bite when a servant came along. Seeing that fish didn’t touch the food, they sighed and cleaned up all of the fish food that had been here for an entire day. bw1svR

Li Yu: ???

Li Yu was so hungry his head spun. No way. Did this mean he had to wait until tomorrow?

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Jing-wang who’s been secretly peeking at fish from the shadows this entire time, walked over. Seeing fish finally willing to show face, Jing-wang thought for a moment, and grabbed a handful of fish food.

Seeing the big bastard’s face, Li Yu subconsciously went to turn away. However, he was almost starving to death. The food in Jing-wang’s hand continuously tormented his thoughts. Li Yu was so hungry he had no strength. Unable to swim, he instinctively gave up and watched Jing-wang place the fish food in front of him. V3edic

Li Yu: “……”

Men… FISH needed to be flexible and know when to give and take! Plus, he shouldn’t torture himself. He should grow nice and fat to torment the scoundrel master!

…… that’s right. Fish, who changed his mind, finally started to eat.

Jing-wang felt half relieved. With a smile, he went to touch the fish’s back with his finger. zINrdf

Li Yu was on guard at this moment. On one hand, he chewed and moved his mouth nonstop; on the other hand, he vigilantly scooted his back away.

Don’t think a few grains of fish food was enough to bribe him. Eating is fine, but petting is not okay!

Jing-wang watched the fish devour the food ravenously, the smile hanging on his face dimed slightly.

Li Yu was too hungry. Eating a little was enough to make him feel stuffed. lF1VbL

Jing-wang still remembered Wang Xi’s words. Fish can’t eat too full. Li Yu just finished swallowing; Jing-wang immediately pushed him to swim.

After eating his fill, Li Yu felt some of his anger dissipate and allowed Jing-wang to push him. He didn’t need to paddle this way anyways.

When his belly felt much better, Li Yu immediately swung his tail haughtily and swam back inside the cave–

He still didn’t want to sleep on the bed that the big scoundrel gave him. NrWhJo

After eating and no longer angry, Li Yu entered the cute pet System.

When he was most flustered, he heard the notification sound of a completed mission. He had many confusing questions he wanted to confirm with the System.

Why did his meticulous plan of sharing a drink not advance the mission, yet when the bastard master bullied him, the mission completed?

Was his assumption before wrong? Was that shameless bullying the real meaning of “wind, flower, snow, and moon”! 7hTQWb

Li Yu angrily said: Give me a reasonable explanation. If you can’t give me one, I won’t do missions anymore!

The shitty system always screwed him over. He’s been silently enduring. However, everything had a limit. Don’t think just because he had a good temper, was a good person and well behaved, that you can mess with him nonstop!

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

The system said in a heavy voice: “Host already finished the “The Tyrant’s Guppy Pet Fish” main mission. Therefore, the direction of future missions is based on the result of this. The requirement is for the host and the tyrant to foster an even deeper relationship. Merely drinking together with the tyrant was not enough to complete this step.”

“Please think about it, host,” For once the System used a lot of words to enlighten him: “You’re already his pet fish that he wouldn’t even exchange for a million gold. After this, your relationship can only get even better.” 6cYsXZ

Oh come on! Li Yu scoffed. Did an even better relationship mean trapping his human form in a blanket and kissing him fiercely? What kind of logic is this!

System: “But this is indeed even better than being a prized pet fish. No?”

Li Yu: “……”

The system exposed its expertise in arguments. Li Yu became speechless to this question. He still felt like something didn’t seem right. Struck by an idea, he pulled out all of the missions that he had completed and looked at them. From this, he discovered a big issue. AQFvWT

The titles of the shitty system’s missions were often misleading. So much that in the end, he didn’t even find them strange anymore. However, when looking at them together like this……

This didn’t seem like raising a pet at all. Instead, it looked more like engaging in a romance!

Stop trying to weasel your way out. So this was the system’s big plot!

Li Yu’s fury wasn’t any less than when he got his tofu eaten. YLVIQ0

What pet needed to “understand deeply,” “have an intimate encounter,” and “indulge in wine and pleasure” with their master!

System stated: “The main mission “The Tyrant’s Guppy Pet Fish” and its series of tasks only required host to achieve the corresponding result. You were able to decide how to complete the tasks whichever way you liked.”

The system sounded a bit confusing. Li Yu pondered for a moment. The System probably was saying this: The tyrant master treated him like this right now… because he was asking for it?!

“Not asking for it. Rather, the tyrant’s actions towards the host are a result of the different decisions you made in the tasks you completed.” System correctly seriously. SaMKDy

Li Yu: “……”

If doing the missions would affect the tyrant, why didn’t System warn him ahead of time?

System said: “Because all of the cute pet system missions require the hosts to complete them wholeheartedly. If you knew ahead of time, your choices would no longer be true to their original intent.”

Li Yu: Sounds nice, but it’s still digging a pit for me right from the start! cvNx L

This made fish even angrier than having his tofu eaten by Jing-wang. Li Yu asked with a blackened face: Is it possible to make Jing-wang stop eating his tofu in the future?

The System said: “Jing-wang is the protagonist. System cannot directly control the protagonist. However, you have one opportunity to reset. Once you reset, all of the missions will start back from the beginning again.”

Read more BL at chrysanthemumgarden (dot) com

Li Yu was startled: I can reset?

Li Yu automatically thought about the consequences of resetting. Would the tyrant’s memories and satisfaction value towards him be erased completely? yDz4kc

If this was really true, there won’t be anything to stress about anymore. However, was doing this fair for Jing-wang?

Because Li Yu transmigrated, Jing-wang was longer just lines of words. Instead, he was a real, live human being just like Li Yu. Casually erasing someone else’s memories just because he was unhappy didn’t seem quite right.

“Host, you misunderstand.” System hastily explained: “The cute pet system can only erase the host’s memories of the cute pet system to start afresh. Can’t change Jing-wang.”

Li Yu: So it was erasing his own memories? QeyPRw

Sounds pretty fancy, but like a soft squeezable fruit, the essence couldn’t hold at all. If he didn’t have his memories, wouldn’t he fall into the same hole?

After all, he didn’t think there was anything wrong with the previous missions at all. Was he supposed to let ChengEn Palace Estate and Ye QingHuan get framed? Was he supposed to not care about the little fatty.

This was just the type of person he was. Even if he restarted, he would still make the same choices!

Plus, if he had a reset and Jing-wang didn’t, wouldn’t that be even worse! 4RpY7b

Li Yu: It’s better off not resetting!

System: “If you don’t need to reset, host, please accept your reward.”

The notification for completing the “Wind, flower, snow, and moon” task popped out. Now that Li Yu knew a bit of the truth, he felt like a complete mess. At first, he wasn’t in the mood to accept, but then he remembered that for this step of the main mission, he specially asked for an addition of a fish pillow. This was still useful to him.

Li Yu said distractedly: Give the pillow to me. Save everything else! Is there a time limit for the next step? wF0avR

System said: “No.”

Li Yu thought viciously. Then why do the mission? It can wait until he’s in the mood!

Grabbing the fish pillow, Li Yu exited the system and returned to the crystal fish tank. He didn’t even know how to face his future fish life anymore.

Here he thought he’s being smart all this time. Yet he was first screwed over by the system, then bullied by Jing-wang, and ended up exceptionally miserable. 5BhSFu

He laid next to the fish pillow. Originally, he planned to use it as a cover for when he changed forms. That’s why he asked the system for another fish pillow and even ordered that it needed to look exactly like him. Sure enough, the fish pillow that he got was the same as his new look with the silver base and gold threads. However, he no longer wanted to change into a human and interact with Jing-wang again.

If system was so capable, then just turn him into fish bones and fish dust!

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Li Yu angrily went to sleep. While he was half asleep and dazed, he suddenly heard someone speak loudly next to him.

…… did Wang Xi come? MyhqjZ

Waking up, Li Yu wanted to hide. However, he could still hear the voices.

It wasn’t Wang Xi.

Li Yu very quickly identified that these were two voices he’s never heard before.

One voice said mysteriously to the other voice: “Does his highness really plan to do this with such great fanfare?” u hZxc

The other voice: “Yes. His highness cares a lot about Li-gongzi. I hear that Li-gongzi disappeared. His highness believes that Li-gongzi will come back to take a look. He can only use this kind of method to pass on a verbal message to Li-gongzi.”

Li-gongzi– Li Yu: ???

What was the big scoundrel doing now?

The first voice continued to say: “This message is written right on the wall. If Li-gongzi is still inside the Estate, he definitely would be able to see it.” GyEnC

The two voices gradually moved away. Li Yu angrily thought. What’s with this act in front of him? Most likely, Jing-wang purposely ordered people to spread these words.

However, it did successfully catch his interest.

A person who couldn’t speak… would also have a verbal message he wanted to transmit?

What kind of verbal message was it and…… why on the wall? BAVwLh

While people weren’t paying attention, Li Yu took the chance to jump onto the windowsill to glance at the situation outside.

One glance was enough. He saw on all of the snow white walls inside the Jing Estate, this was written in an extremely large and bold calligraphy script:

There’s no concubine, I like you.

  1. Ok ok, I know this might sound weird and all, but, why are you updating so frequently, like, BROOOO, I’M STILL AT CHAPTER 16 FFS!!!!! I CAN, BY NO MEANS, EVEN DREAM OF KEEPING UP WITH YOUR UPLOADING PACEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Like, I know it’s unreasonable to complain, but like?????? You probably spent so much time translating all of this but you still upload tons of chapters at once without blinking ffs!!!!

But reagardless, thank you so much for all of your hard work!!!!!

    KISS KISS MUAH MUAH 😙✨✨✨💖💖

    • Umm Thanks? xD I translated this novel over a year ago and had it uploaded on word doc, but now that I’m joining CG, I’m just transferring them over. The new novels I’m translating are being uploaded at much slower pace. 😂

      • That’s exactly what I’m saying, you spent so much time translating this but you throw the chapters out like cheese and carbon dioxide GODSDAYUM, so many chapters are almost overwhelming!!! But then again, I’mma stop complaining because we readers benefit from it the most!!

✨Conclusion✨ : Don’t stop uploading please, even if you didn’t plan to in the first place!!~

        Anyways, I wish a nice day/night~~

  2. i’ve got mixed feelings about this arc since I already finished this. on one hand, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth bc it’s such a trope to have dubcon that doesn’t even matter in BL. on the other hand, at least this author is better about it than most others and actually lets MC feel justifiably upset at the dubcon and feeling played for a fool, as well as having ML realize that he fucked up and needs to make up for it.

    anyway thanks for the TL!

    • I don’t really see how it is dubcon. In my opinion, it was only a terrible misunderstanding that came from the fact that they couldn’t communicate properly. I also didn’t like this arc but for the exact opposite reason. Jing-wang has a misunderstanding, which accumulated from previous chapters of fish kissing him and all the demon x human books, but Li Yu just ran off without explaining anything or giving Jing-wang a chance to explain himself. Jing-wang already has trouble expressing himself because of his disability, now Li Yu is just shutting him out in all aspects and basically taking away his ability to communicate completely. How is Jing-wang suppose to understand him properly if Li Yu, who is capable of speaking, doesn’t say anything to clarify things up? Read his mind or something? In my eyes, Lu Yi is being a bit melodramatic here, the whole starving himself business. Also he’s upset that Jing-wang is ‘tricking him’, but how many times has he lied to Jing-wang? They both make mistakes in this arc, but the author portrayed LI Yu as the cinnamon roll who suffered great injustice, while pushing the entire blame onto Jing-wang, who can’t even talk and doing his best to communicate in his own way. I feel injustice for him. Anyways, yea, i don’t think it’s dubcon, I think it’s a terrible misunderstanding.
      • i’m not disagreeing with the rest of your comment, but i do have to say that the fact that there’s a misunderstanding at all and the couple is not on the same page consent-wise is exactly dubcon. from jing wang’s pov, it may not be dubcon because he believed it was consensual, but as a reader we know it was dubcon because li yu did not consent in the moment, regardless of how he feels about jing wang or how he may have unintentionally led him on. in that exact scene, although he may have feelings for jing wang, he was not prepared to consent, and my point is that it gets tiring that this sort of trope is so common in BL (and even straight fiction) and most of the time it just results in the mc realizing they love the instigator and just going “oh i overreacted, what he did was actually completely ok and he was in the right, im the one who led him on and misunderstood”. in this one at least even if Li Yu ‘gets over it’, hes allowed to be justifiably upset about it and his getting over it is less about him realizing “oh it was actually ok and im just overreacting” and more “jing wang has apologized and made up for it and im willing to forgive him”.
        • I feel like we’re not using the term dubcon in the same manner because I don’t see dubious consent going here. Li Yu just straight up refused. Sex didn’t even occur. Dubcon means sex involving two people where it’s unclear if one or both of them consented. For example, if they had drunk sex, or if one person has higher authority and the other person reluctantly agreed to having sex because they don’t want to get fired. But again, sex didn’t even happen here. If you want to call the kiss a forced(noncon) kiss, or this entire scene an attempted noncon, I think that would be more accurate. But I wouldn’t call this dubcon.

I think if you’re tired of the troupe you’re talking about, you should be like me and pick danmeis with enthusiastic MCs because I rarely see that. And even if the MLs get pushy, they’re always the ones who grovel and apologize in the end. 😂

          • I know I may be butting in here, but I am going to anyways. I agree with you, infinite. If this specific scene was “dubcon” then what about all the other times with Li Yu being the instigator? I don’t think it is dubcon because of the definition that you stated. And Li Yu IS being overdramatize by starving himself. If he was simply ignoring him, then I wouldn’t say so, but almost starving to death while not giving JingWang any moment to explain himself is extremely melodramatic.

I will say I typically dislike these sort of misunderstanding tropes for this exact reason. Too much drama with no communication. Though, this author is actually doing pretty good at making me not hate it too much as long as Jing can actually explain himself.

      • completely agree with translator. both sides have flaws and they have to work on themselves and each other to find understanding and develop their relationship. it’s not all cupcakes and rainbows, they make mistakes so that they could learn from it and reflect. it seems to me that the original comment really is tired of those trope and began to perceive it to everything they read sigh

  3. are we not going to mention the idea!! that!!!!!

li yu cld’ve possibly erased his own memories?

what if the illusion wasn’t an illusion, but a flashback? and he had tried to help jiang-wang before??? but something happened and he had to erase his memories?

or it might be used as a plot device for li yu in the future hrmmmm

  4. Why is mc acting all up stupidly like did you not kiss ml too, I understand you feel but I don’t understand how only you have grievances but you don’t consider ml at all?? He needs reality check

  5. Even if it was a misunderstanding JW still forced the fish at that time, even though he was pushing it. I don’t think it’s the fish’s fault for being very upset about this, when he kissed JW he just touched his lips lightly. I’m a little disappointed.
