The Disabled Tyrant’s Pet Palm Fish [Transmigration]Chapter 17

When Li Yu woke up from his sleep, he was already in the Jing Estate. He was completely unaware of the huge discussion people had of him in the Imperial Palace.

However, even if he knew, he wouldn’t care. He was very self-aware of his identity as a fish right now. In short, all he needed to do was blow his bubbles and let those bored people gossip all they liked. xriKcI

Because he lived in the fish tank, whether the fish tank was in the Imperial Palace or in the Jing Estate, it really didn’t make a difference to him. What comforted him was that Wang gonggong very enthusiastically moved him into Jing-wang’s bedroom. He still lived together with Jing-wang. His one-sided fear towards Jing-wang came quickly and went quickly as well. Currently, he acted cute even more shamelessly than before. Towards Jing-wang, he also gained some more sincerity and trust.

He transmigrated into a book and has been cautiously and conscientiously acting like a pet fish. Opening his eyes everyday, he had to worry about doing tasks. The original plot was basically very unrelated to the life of a fish. Staying by Jing-wang’s side, he could eat well and sleep well. He didn’t really concern himself with the story plot. He was only a fish after all, what can he do?

However, since Jing-wang encountered the attempted assassination, it ultimately dragged the original story plot back into Li Yu’s thoughts.

Ever since the 2nd Prince, Mu TianZhao, learned that Jing-wang left the Imperial Palace, he sent his loyal servant over with a letter. In place of the 2nd Prince, the loyal servant very sincerely asked Jing-wang about his well-being and expressed that in three days, the 2nd Prince specifically set up a dinner party at his estate for Jing-wang and would be honored by Jing-wang’s presence. f2qB7N

Wang Xi handed over the letter to Jing-wang with a cold face. Jing-wang scoffed coldly, not even opening the letter before putting it to the side.

Through the fish tank, Li Yu stared at that letter, deep in thought.

Although the 2nd Prince had the fate of a cannon fodder, currently he was still the hot candidate for the crown prince. This invitation was probably because he got hit in the face last time in Ganqing Palace and wanted to make up for it now.

Jing-wang’s group didn’t really respect the 2nd Prince. Although Mu TianZhao was the oldest Prince of all of the Emperor’s sons, he was often very pretentious. In front of the Emperor, he pretended to love his little brothers dearly. In front of the other Princes, he still pretended to be a good elder brother. In actuality, this good elder brother was the one who caused plenty of trouble for several of the Princes.

Li Yu had the gold finger of knowing the plot of the novel so he pretty much understood what the 2nd Prince was thinking. Out of all of the Emperor’s sons, the person that Mu TianZhao feared the most was the similarly aged 3rd Prince who contested him everywhere; however, the person that he didn’t like the most was Jing-wang.

Although Mu TianZhao was the eldest, the royal family didn’t really follow seniority by age. The son of the First Wife forever placed in front. Jing-wang was born from Empress Xiao Hui; in terms of status, he was more respectable than Mu TianZhao. If Jing-wang wasn’t a mute, the Emperor definitely wouldn’t have considered giving the 2nd Prince the position of Crown Prince. Just because of this, Mu TianZhao always thought of Jing-wang as a thorn in his side. Yet in front of the Emperor, there’s no way he’d express that.

The 2nd Prince had everything well planned. Unfortunately, Jing-wang didn’t give him face at all and didn’t actually agree to show up at the dinner party. kQIHjC

The 2nd Prince refused to give up. He ran in front of the Emperor and knelt, asking the Emperor to help him beg Jing-wang. The Emperor wished for Jing-wang and the future Crown Prince to coexist peacefully. Since the 2nd Prince was willing to express good-will, the Emperor endorsed this from the bottom of his heart. In order to make Jing-wang comply and give the 2nd Prince a way out of an embarrassing situation, the Emperor simply became the middle man. He sent an imperial edict bestowing a feast at the Jing Estate and ordered all of the Princes to attend. Jing-wang was in charge of receiving the guests. Now it was only expected for the 2nd Prince and Jing-wang to reconcile at the banquet.

The 2nd Prince accomplished his goal through the Emperor. When Jing-wang received the imperial edict, his face completely turned black.

The Emperor knew that Jing-wang’s personality was cold and aloof. Don’t even talk about receiving other Princes, normally if the Jing Estate had a little too many guests, he’d become hostile. Therefore, the Emperor specifically sent Head Manager Luo over to explain clearly. When the time comes, the Emperor will send over all of the servants, as well as the chefs; Jing-wang didn’t need to prepare anything extra. He only needed to show his face as the host, that’s all.

The Emperor went through all this trouble for the sake of the already lacking brotherly relationship between his sons. Jing-wang watched this series of arrangements, sitting alone in his room for a while but ultimately didn’t have any objections. frjHQE

Everything that happened in the Jing Estate, Wang Xi knew. Therefore, Li Yu pretty much knew as well. Jing-wang just finished rejecting the 2nd Prince over here; the Emperor then suddenly bestowed a banquet upon the Jing Estate. Even thinking with his tail, he can understand. This was definitely because the 2nd Prince bumped into a block with Jing-wang and used the Emperor to make this kind of cheap maneuver. Li Yu was very speechless.

Since the banquet was already set up, it didn’t really have anything to do with a fish like him. The 2nd Prince wouldn’t get what he wanted in any case. It’s all just a set up for Jing-wang’s future.

Speaking of a bestowed banquet, Li Yu recalled a banquet that had occurred in the Jing Estate around the beginning of the original novel. It was at this banquet that Jing-wang got the chance to encounter the other male protagonist of the book. The little pampered wife that was in this book’s title, which was called <<The Tyrant and his Little Pampered Wife>>. Using the sappy corny words of the novel, this was how the two people’s lives became intertwined together.

Although Li Yu was a transmigrated fish. After all this time, other than issuing him eccentric tasks, the shitty system has never got him involved with the story plot of the original novel. The scope of activity of a pet fish, and the people and things he could encounter were all very limited. Even if he wanted to do something else, it wasn’t easy. According to the shitty system’s words, his existence was to change the tyrant’s personality. If he could really do this, the story plot really wouldn’t be important anymore. AYIbxE

Therefore, Li Yu didn’t pay too much attention to the story plot. However, because of the 2nd Prince’s sudden action, Li Yu suddenly had a strange thought in mind. Don’t tell him, the banquet scene in the book– was the same one set up here by the 2nd Prince?

According to Jing-wang’s temper, he definitely wouldn’t plan for any banquets himself. The novel never mentioned the reason why there was a banquet set up in the Jing Estate. In other words, there was no contradiction. This more or less matched up.

Li Yu felt all of the scales on his body rising. Was Jing-wang about to encounter his destined lover– the little pampered wife?

This……was inevitable, right? After all, in the world inside the novel. There’s a protagonist gong and a protagonist shou, destined to meet with each other. No matter how complicated the process was, they’d always end up together. The content of this novel was about the story of Jing-wang and his little pampered wife. Didn’t Li Yu know about this already? ze0cKT

He was only a pet fish, that’s all. There’s no need for him to think too much about it.

Li Yu shook his head and did his best to be unconcerned. He went to play with the pearls inside the fish tank. However, perhaps it’s because he played with them too much before, now he found it hard to raise his interest.

The Emperor’s edict was sent out like pouring a cup of water.

The somewhat young 7th Prince and 8th Prince were still baby carrots. They still lived in the Imperial Palace. When they heard that the Jing Estate was holding a banquet, they practically wished they could leave the palace immediately to come play. Kqfsi6

The other two older Princes were much more composed. The 3rd Prince and 6th Prince both expressed, it’s rare for the brothers to gather. They will both prepare plenty of gifts. The 3rd Prince, Mu TianMing, even offered to bring some servants skilled with dancing to the Jing Estate, to make things more fun and entertaining.

The Emperor was happy to see his sons so friendly and respectful towards each other; so he agreed to the suggestion in place of Jing-wang.

Although Jing-wang didn’t need to worry about the banquet at all, Wang Xi watched over everything carefully for his master. Li Yu listened to Wang-gonggong’s endless chattering, fell silent for a while, and then sank to the bottom of the tank with a swoosh, not wanting to swim up.

The 3rd Prince’s offer basically confirmed that this was part of the original plotline. Because the little pampered wife was one of the ‘servants skilled with dancing’ that the 3rd Prince had brought over. He had outstanding good looks and charm. When Jing-wang saw the little pampered wife’s performance, he fell in love at first sight. 8qQsW6

However, the little pampered wife was actually someone on the 3rd Prince’s side. In most of the novel, he didn’t even like Jing-wang. Jing-wang only fell in love this once in his entire life. Yet the high and mighty tyrant was unable to obtain what he desired, thwarted at every step, and even almost losing his life.

It was really an old style ‘I love you, but you don’t love me. Nevertheless, I still love you’ story. Supposedly, many readers loved this troupe and got very into it.

But why this? Why did Jing-wang always have to suffer?

When Li Yu was reading the novel, he didn’t really feel this way, because at that time, Jing-wang was only a character in a book. However, now Jing-wang was an actual living person. He and Jing-wang were very close. Li Yu also saw many facets of Jing-wang that many people did not know about and treated Jing-wang like his real master. Therefore, Li Yu was very angry, more angry than if he were the one suffering instead. DCNHtI

The unhappy little carp furiously vented his anger at the pearls inside the fish tank. Ultimately, he thought dispiritedly, so what if he was angry. Jing-wang was the one who will end up liking the little pampered wife; meanwhile he was only a pet fish……

Who knows, perhaps one day, the little pampered wife will become his second master and he will need to curry favor with the 2nd master like he curried favor with Jing-wang. Plus, he’ll have to live together with the 2nd master as well.

But…… just thinking about this made Li Yu somewhat unable to bear it. Suddenly, he could understand the disappointment and loss other pets felt when their masters started dating.

The masters pamper their pets a lot before, but afterwards, they treat their pets halfheartedly. If the 2nd master and the pet got along well, then there’s no problem. But if the 2nd master and the pet didn’t get along, would the master do anything to the 2nd master? siC84m

No. The master would definitely get rid of the pet.

Li Yu laughed coldly. He definitely won’t fall to that degree. If Jing-wang wanted to follow the story plot, then he can follow the story plot. A fish like Li Yu couldn’t stop the spinning wheel of the story plot anyways, but he could still do something within his abilities, right?

With all the people coming in and out of the Jing Estate during the banquet, and Jing-wang too busy meeting with the little pampered wife to care about Li Yu, Li Yu had nothing to fear. He was going to change into a human and do everything he wanted to do!

So what if he didn’t want to see the 2nd master! XWrkE2

the word here is “Fei” for “Wangfei,” which is the title for the wife of a Prince

  1. Ooooohh— if Li Yu goes through with that plan, I can imagine Jing-Wang will notice that this is his little fish

  2. ‘Opening his eyes daily’… Time and again, there are mentions in this story of the fish opening his eyes, etc.. You know… fish don’t have eyelids. Their eyes are ALWAYS open. They can’t close them at all…

  3. Vinegar, vinegar from the fiiish. If fish Li Yu keeps on stewing in that vat of vinegar, he’ll definitely become a paksiw. 😂

(Paksiw is a Filipino dish where the fish is cooked and simmered in vinegar and some spices 😂).

P.S. a itty-bitty typo “many readers liked this *trope” rather than “troupe”.

Thank you for the chapter! Really enjoying this story so much 😂

  4. Am I the only one uncomfortable reading this type of story where the male protagonist originally has a lover in the original book but after the MC transmigrated, the ML falls in love with him instead? They were already in love in the past and I would not like myself to break this love. I also don’t want someone else’s love that can change from person to person just because I was better than the original one. I don’t want to rob someone else’s destined love.

I am also a jealous type of person and upon knowing that this person made the my love interest fall in love originally even if it was not the case now, would not sit well with me. In the back of my mind, I will overthink that it’s just a matter of chance and opportunity for the ML to like or love that person again. I am insecure and petty but am I wrong thinking like this? That’s why I avoided stories where ML was the protagonist in the book or past life and has already someone he loves from that past life or original book.

    • Also it was originally just an novel every character is a puppet in author’s hands so their novel life is not very meaningful it just author’s control but now novel became a real world and every character broke free of the control and can live their own life yes their traits might be what author gave them but their choices can change so the fate written in novel is invalid

      • Plus if it was true love as it was as you thought then nothing could change it. I would like to point out that the original shu didn’t like our ml in the first place. I can’t say more otherwise I would spoil the story but as long as you read I think you will understand how important that detail is.

    • I get what you mean, I also prefer when reading fiction for the characters to have just one love Interest because how can you claim to truly love someone when at the very minor change your love can shift, s

how can you be certain that it won’t happen again. I guess in these setting it is understandable though as it was only one sided previously.
