I was also thinking this. The players in the eighth task are acting like they’re the ones who did something bad to the female ghost in the script. They forgot their role is actors. Isn’t it OOC for an actor to try to kill their fellow actor? Also, the female ghost in the script is supposed to kill the people who harmed her in the past. If the players act more like the people who harmed the female ghost in the past, then it’s no wonder they’d get killed for it…

Then how do we explain why she has chosen Guan for the first kill? I’m curious or I missed, what did Guan did on the first day that resulted in her being OOC that the lady ghost choose her?
CXC seems to hint that the ghost can have a feeling of what a person is thinking about. This could be the measure for OOC. Players with OOC thoughts get noticed by the ghost, make it easier for the ghost to latch on and make them crazy, until they end up dying. Maybe Guan Qiaoqiao would’ve only been possessed but not dead if she wasn’t intent on getting rid of the ghost. Who knows. These are all just guesses anyway.
But I don’t think the original host wanted to kill her? Unless I’m remembering wrong…

Both YBS and GQQ were scheming against CXC, but CXC interacted with YBS and reduced his malice towards him. His interactions with GQQ, on the other hand, increased her malice towards YBS and the ghost, without decreasing her malice towards him.
Although YBS could then become the next target, someone else was actively malicious towards the ghost, thus becoming a priority target.
That’s my best theory, and it seems to align with how the ghost is going along with his pretend blindness, but grew angry when he thought about the other team attempting to hurt her.
