Ye Yao is right about those two years, in this case. Neither of them had to watch the other date or hookup with other people, they were just very close and pure. It’s one of my favorite things about this particular “friends to lovers” story. A lot of MM stories have one who suffers in silence while their oblivious crush does couple things with someone else.
