I have to say, it’s always supremely satisfying to read the part in a BL novel where the bf is introduced to friends or family. I mean, recently I read a pretty highly rated Western BL novel called To Hold A Hidden Pearl (by Fearne Hill) where the ML never admitted to anyone that he was actually gay. Which was such a huge turnoff for me!!!! Why was he so hung up on the opinions of his stupid homophobic family anyways? Tsk, I still hate that guy so much…
