“He’s kind of unusual, isn’t he?” Elizabeth said, making him look at her again.

“Who?” Just then one of the more popular boys, the one with obviously dyed hair, successfully did an elaborate (Ehem, stupid—) trick with a chicken nugget and his spoon launching it into the air and right into his mouth causing everyone else at the table to burst into laughing and clapping.

Reke snorts, “Him?” he continued his question to Elizabeth, pointing his thumb at the guy.

She subtly tried pointing into the other direction, right on the other side of the cafeteria.

He once again tried surveying the area, now with the smaller scope it should be easier.

She should be pointing at the boy sitting by himself at the other corner. But aside from his unusual hair color (Blonde? It’s a bit darker though. Sort of like honey. It seemed a bit darker at the top.), he seemed to not be of any interest. Honestly, he almost blended into the background if that even made sense.

“The boy with honey blonde hair? Darker strands at the top?” he clarified, keeping his gaze on the boy. bl kRq

In the corner of his eye, he can see Elizabeth nod with a small hum, she’s also keeping her eyes on him.

At first glance, Reke didn’t notice anything unusual.

Just then, the popular table burst into cheers again as the same guy did another trick. Reke glanced at them in non-interest before looking back to the honey-haired boy.

Although the boy’s face was expressionless his eyes, looking at the popular table, was filled with mirth and a sort of exasperation you’d see on an elderly when they see the new generation goofing about.

Reke’s eyes brightened immediately.

“You see it too, right?” Elizabeth said, seeing the change in his expression.

He only hummed in agreement, eyes still trained on the boy. (He seemed to be enjoying his lunch, eyes alight in enjoyment and mouth almost curved into a smile as he chewed his food.) j8in7Y
