I don’t think Father Qi is a pushover at work but more of a Man with lots of things to consider emotionally and financially wise. Regarding his parenting, yes it’s really quite extreme lol I am the same age as Qi Yu and I don’t know how to do sht but it’s experience I guess since he have to bear everything later on

Such a dilemma yah.. I totally understand if the reason is to hold up the reputation and stock price.. but if it’s for some old friends relationshits then to hell with that
However, for me, not reporting such crime carries bigger repercussions. The culprits will get away with the crime, and might even not have to pay all the millions they made the company lose. Then they could even move to a new company and start doing the same. Then there’s also the part where the authorities themselves might have noticed the crime, or someone reported in anonimously, thus, as I said, you’d become an accomplice. And lastly, as a father (which is the question QYS is asking MC), one of the most important lessons one has to teach their children is morality and keeping one’s integrity. It’s indeed difficult to take such decisions in big companies, since everyone is connected somehow and every tiny decision could have huge repercussions, but I think it’d have more of a positive impact on the employees if the criminals were to be reported. Yes, these employees are not usually seen as important by companies, but there are a big no of them so that should outwin the shareholders. It’s the same saying with ‘one can’t govern a city without citizens’.
Anyway, my point is that I’m not surprised by the decision QYS took. It’s disappointing tho, especially with him having to be a role model for his sons. But that’s usually the reality of big companies. A lot of stuff goes unpunished for the sake of not affecting the brand.
