After several twists and turns, Shen Yu and Kai finally reached their destination. A tall stacked up tower, with floating stairs and shaking structure. As dilapidated as it looked, the prices were not cheap. It was one silver per night, with food on the house and water on the meter.
The inn owner was actually a gremlin, with sharp teeth and a pale green face, his eyes were oddly large, and his speech manner was rather strange. “There is no other inn in this town, take it or leave it, I don’t like persuasion on price.”
Kai just hummed, “We will stay for one night, do give me a map as well, if possible.”
The gremlin nodded, his long nose almost drooping to his lips, “I will provide one, but to which city?”

The gremlin stared at Kai again, and nodded after a while, as if staring gave him all the clues. So just like that, their stay was settled, and they would leave the town tomorrow morning.
The room in which they were staying at was located on the first floor, so they had to climb the floaty little staircase which looked like it would crumble anytime.
“You should fix this,” Shen Yu grumbled, but didn’t press upon it, since the gremlin didn’t even look at him.
Was an elf this hated? Or were humans more likable?
Frowning, Shen Yu wondered if his unkempt appearance had made his beauty less brilliant. In any case, this town was not very hospitable to an elf.

The room was very small, but thankfully it had two beds, which were surprisingly soft, and there was even a separate bathing and toiletry unit, with a few herbal soaps and shampoos placed next to the towel stand.
“I will freshen up before eating, do you want to use the toilet first?” Shen Yu asked as he looked at the slightly dirty but doable bath tub and the silver shower head. Even the latrine was slightly smelly, yet still usable.
