The air was heavy around them with unspoken thoughts. It wasn’t that cultivators weren’t able to form back their Dantian again, but it took a very long amount of time and patience to reestablish a core, and their foundation from before certainly mattered. Someone like Shen Yu had less than 10% chance of forming a core again in his entire lifetime. If this had been something easy, his clan members would have already broken his weak Dantian and forced him to form another one.
Medius cultivation on the other hand was very rare, a form of cultivation which did not differentiate between the Demonic and the Righteous paths. There were no stages to cross, there was no requirement of a Dantian.
Medius was a practice which focused on cultivating the meridians, the apparatus needed was just one network, there was no need for the entire circuit. One couldn’t store energy anywhere, but they could always ‘grab’ energy from around them, and use it for themselves as they went on grabbing more, it was usually a take and use method, there was no storage or generator in between.
Due to several restrictions faced when without Dantian, there was no inedia, no contractual relationship with any beast. Even weapons used by Medius Cultivators were special, they couldn’t hold on to the normally used and rewarded spiritual weapon.
Medius practitioners’ efficiency depended on the amount of spiritual energy they could gather from their surroundings, it was not very convenient all the time, but was certainly not distasteful. Now what ticked people the most, was the system of parasitism that came with practicing Medius Cultivation.
It simply meant that the cultivator of Medius art would have to depend on a power house to provide a constant supply of energy in case the surrounding environment lacked spiritual Qi. This restriction was the reason for loss of immortality in Milky Way Galaxy. Because if energy wasn’t in abundance, how were you supposed to live for infinity?
Everyone wanted to live forever, it was a craze that wouldn’t stop. Simply the reason for high favoritism towards Mission Worlds.
Medius practitioners could live for infinity, only if they could find a generous donor of Spiritual Qi and Life essence. Those who were cultivating to achieve immortality, they were not kind enough to part with their life essence, nor their spiritual Qi, it was not only difficult to manage, it was also extremely taxing.
By parting with the essence and the Qi, it was conclusive that the donor’s own cultivation level would fall or regress if they weren’t strong enough to cope with the loss, even immortality won’t stay effective if the dantian wasn’t capable of strong regeneration.
Majority of Medius cultivators would either die of old age or would forcefully keep human cauldrons for building up symbiotic parasitism. This led to major revolt from the society, such attitude was simply going against both cultivation paths.
Universal Laws didn’t forbid this form of cultivation, it was a matter of finding the right donor and also, having the strength to manipulate both light and dark matter. Medius cultivators could be horrifyingly strong, albeit they needed the right source and environment to work with.
