A World AssimilationChapter 13

Golden Ticket Holders had one advantage over other Holders, they could choose to enter a world with lower Ticket requirement. To be precise, A Golden Ticket Holder had a top Ticket, they could easily transmigrate to other worlds with Silver Mission or other lower rank Missions.

Golden Ticket Holders were just required to maintain their ranks in every Mission that they took. If they chose a Silver Mission, they could not have more than 5 penalties. Because if they had more than 5 penalties, the color of their Ticket would change to that of Silver.  3J2VPi

This extended relaxation to Golden Ticket Holders was like pardoning the elite members from doing menial chores, just because they were promised an easy mission completion in lower rank missions. It could be said, this was another reason for everyone clamoring to raise their level to a Golden Ticket Master. They won’t have to persist on a rank mission with higher difficulty if they were tired of playing big games, they could take a break and do easier missions for a change of scene.

Shen Yu could have chosen any mission with his Golden Ticket, if he so wanted to. It was a very advantageous Ticket, but he went after fagun, he had to.

Shen Yu saw options like, [Silver Mission], [Bronze Mission], etc, at the end of the golden mission list. If he hadn’t been ill, choosing a lower rank mission would have saved him a lot of trouble. And if Kai had also chosen a lower rank, Shen Yu would have given some thought to it, but now, everything was predicted to happen in his favor, so he was delighted. Although the mission looked hard, Fagun couldn’t be that bad.

Shen Yu selected the 3rd Mission.   QtTZjH

The Gold space vanished right after, and he opened his eyes to meet the stares of the council members. He could feel his entire body sweating profusely, it was the aftermath of his weak configuration. “I have selected my choice,” he spoke, his voice coming out meek, lacking energy.

The old council head nodded, “Good, I will ask my servant to fetch you energizing pills. They are hard to come by but our clan has some, you can take it today before going to sleep.”

Shen Yu nodded, by now he knew his clan was a bunch of profiteers, all they wanted was for him to gather rewards for them. Not that he couldn’t understand their way of thinking.

“Go and rest, you need to be vigilant in your mission world,” then the clan head thought of something, “we also have friends in mission worlds, if you see anyone of the Righteous Clan that has ties with our family, you can depend on them to give you protection for a short time. But don’t expect to be serviced. You need to get better as quickly as possible, avoid wasting time. Take the appropriate cultivation manuals that are suitable for you. If you don’t know, ask a physician, be sensible.”

Shen Yu nodded in agreement, and the council members, some of the prominent ones, started to put in their thoughts into words. For him, they went the extra length to give mission hints that could keep him safe in dire condition.

Shen Clan valued strength. And they had two other Golden Ticket Holders in their fold, so they understood how difficult it was to complete a Gold Mission without receiving penalties.

“Don’t meet up with the other transmigrators until you have breached the 3rd stage, you have time, this will be a 6-year mission span,” Shen Shiqui said, his expression serious. On his side, another close relative also nodded. Several hadn’t given any advice to Shen Yu, but it didn’t matter, Shen Yu was prepared.

“Off you go,” the old head said, he looked to be anticipating Shen Yu’s achievement.   9l2Wj

Shen Teng bowed his head, “Then we will take our leave.”

After coming back, Shen Teng passed on the energizing pill to Shen Yu, and left home to fulfil his own duty.

Since Shen Yu had already passed on the message to his siblings and mother, they were all there to say goodbye to Shen Yu. His mother was crying, while the siblings had complicated looks on their faces. They looked worried but also excited for Shen Yu. Leaving out Shen Hao and Shen Bo, who had mild expressions, Shen Laoyang was smiling very politely, and Shen Xi, Shen Meng and Shen Yue were looking skeptical.  haBNmw

“You decided on the mission so soon?” Shen Meng asked in concern, “We thought you will take your time.”

“I decided on it yesterday, it felt like a good choice.”

“The council didn’t say anything to this?” Shen Xi asked, “Isn’t Fagun a very complicated task? I heard it will be a difficult battle field.”

“It is okay, the clan thought it was good enough.”  rpS0EC

“Carry your pills with you,” Shen Hao stated, his face neutral and his voice stern, “be careful around tricky clans, they are always eager to spread dirty water on others. If they see you are weak, they might harm you out of spite.”

Shen Yu nodded, he knew many cheated during missions and also harmed other transmigrators for their own enjoyment, or to fulfil their clan’s wishes. He would be careful.

It was late at night when his family members left one by one, some staying at home, and some taking their leave. Shen Hao had came just to see him off, and he already left before Shen Yu got a chance to say a clear goodbye.

Shen Laoyang also left, and Shen Bo settled for staying with Shen Xi, who had asked him for a favor. His sisters stayed at home with their mother, and early morning they decided they would check on Shen Yu.  cBoWZi

Shen Yu slept like a log after eating that pill, his body feeling strangely heavy.

~

The next time he opened his eyes, he saw a change in scenery. He immediately tensed up, his hand coming up to check himself, his clothing and his face.

Thankfully, he was still wearing his space ring. All his belongings were inside that ring.  Xzw5EQ

When his heart calmed down, his mind settled, he noticed the bed on which he was sleeping. It was made of some dark wood, and the wall of the room was similarly wooden textured. The room was small with two round windows and a round oval door. There was a single table and chair on the side, and a bow hanging on a slanted hook. This room was bizarrely empty, except for another small door right below the overhead cupboard.

Getting up, he noticed, he was not wearing any footwear, and his clothes seemed to be made of some soft leaf material.

Curious, Shen Yu checked his body, his body seemed to have a familiar measurement, but he could feel a few changes lingering on him. His ears were extra pointy, and he had long silvery white hair, hair that reached his waist.

Shen Yu was astonished with the level of assimilation, he had seen other transmigrators before, some had minimal changes, some had racial changes. He didn’t feel weird anywhere, he had the same body, but his features were morphed in the right places for better integration with the group of… elves he supposed.  5v7FGm

He quickly calculated what this world could be and where will he go from here.

But first, he needed to check the cupboards, he felt that the cupboard might hold some information to his mission, or at least he would know more about this body.

There was a sound of creak when Shen Yu pulled opened the cupboard, inside, he saw cutlery and a few jars of cookie(?), there was also a weird liquid bottle and a strange set of crystal globe. It all looked kind of useless.

Shen Yu wasn’t feeling any hunger, neither did he have any headache, but he did feel a unique vibration curling around him. It was not dangerous, but ever present.  c6QH7B

He closed his eyes to feel it, and he was shocked to know that his senses could discern this vibration as spiritual energy. The entire room was vibrating with a low frequency.

Earth never had so much energy, it could be said that this place, wherever Shen Yu was, had 1000x the spiritual Qi he had been looking for. And he could feel it, he could finally circulate it if he wanted to. His dantian had always made trouble due to lack of absorption, but with such abundance, his dantian was flooding with energy. He felt full, for the first time in life he felt all mighty.

His face remained cold and emotionless, but his eyes were starting to shine, as his heart pumped up blood at a faster rate. He was eager to start cultivation right away, however, he had to check out his circumstances first, it was better to be vigilant.

  1. Ooh, he seems to be a light elf, then will Kai be a dark elf? I wonder if they’ll meet at all? Also, I hope Shen Yu can get as many impurities out of his body and quickly get healthier, I don’t want him to be bullied….

    Thank you for the chapter!

  2. I really liked that first arc, the settings are very interesting! I can’t wait for them to meet again! 😍
