A Royal PainCh6 - Tight Situations

As Anzu drank tea, basking in the afterglow of the sun’s golden rays he could feel only one thing.

Beautiful. yORfuA

Anzu felt beautiful.

And this was how he was supposed to feel, not bitter and terrible like he did that day… with the incident of Taishin Honda. That was an error–Taishin was an error.

The manor bell rang out bringing Anzu out of his stupor and he bolted quickly towards the door, squealing a very cracked, “Coming!!!” in English at the door. The door opened to reveal a gang of four people; a girl in goth dress, a tall guy who looked like he was here to beat Anzu up, a glasses wearing guy and a black haired, large eyed innocent looking girl.

“You people…” Anzu went into a frenzy. “Why are you here?” mFGbLR

“You know us, Your Highness?” The glasses wearing one–Hirotaka asked.

“Of course I do! You were there with that nasty Taishin guy that day to welcome me,” he said and pointed to the girl in goth–Poco. “And you! I remember you, you were the only who had your face planted to a phone even with my magnificence arrival there! Also this tall guy…”

Anzu swallowed the rest of his words as he glanced at the murderous look in Shun’s eyes.

“Anyways.” Anzu pretended he wasn’t scared. Of course he wasn’t. He was the 3rd prince of Altrisberg. “I know you people are from the University. Is it a message from the management? If it’s something about a written apology or whatever, don’t bother. I will not change my mind.”

“No,” Mita said, “we’re Taishin’s friends.”

As soon as he heard the name ‘Taishin’ the prince shut the door on their face. “You… how did you bypass the security and get here?” His voice came out as a tiny squeak through the door crack.

“You mean the hundred bodyguards outside?” Hirotaka asked. “We just showed them our student IDs and they murmured something like, ‘Oh they’re the prince’s fans’ and let us in.”

“So,” He sat his ass down on the couch grandly and said, “can I know what you are here for?”

“To check up on your sorry ass,” said Poco. xJqzO1

“I–I beg your pardon?” Anzu almost threw his sun glasses away.

Hirotaka slapped Poco’s hand in reproach and smiled at the prince. “We came here to actually request something from the prince.”

He looked away indignantly. “And what would that be?”

“To make you talk The King into retracting his complaint on Taishin.” fA26On

“Humph, why would I? Maybe if your friend agrees to take back what he said, I’ll consider it.”

And that’s near goddamn impossible. They looked at each other awkwardly as they remembered what Taishin said the moment something about taking back what he said.

“Sure, if he allows me to slap him right after. A physical insult would resonate better I believe than a verbal one.”

This isn’t going anywhere. It was time to switch operations from formation 1) Request for a change of mind to formation 2) Beg and bullshit! AspwV0

Immediately all 4 of them fell on their knees before him and gathered fake tears in their eyes. “Your Highness! Don’t do this to Taishin, our school–our beloved Tenjou Uni cannot survive without him. Because of what you’ve done–we, his batch mates, are stranded!”

Anzu was beyond startled but also touched to see them bowing before him. So he couldn’t help but lend an ear and said, “He can’t be that important of a person, humph.”

“But he is! He is the president of the student council body of the entire university and he’s also the leader of multiple clubs such as the film club, media club, sports club, archeology and history club, literature club and whats-the-name club and many more! The fact that you’ve subdued the ability of someone like him–it’s truly gut wrenching!”

When Hirotaka finished he could practically see the stars glimmering in the prince’s eyes. He looked awed beyond words. CXbzva

“Um… Your highness?”

But he quickly masked his excitement and said, “So what if he’s an awesome, amazing person? I absolutely don’t care about that. Nope, I… really don’t.”

All 4 of Taishin’s friends looked at each other as an idea flashed in their eyes. Here was their breakthrough!

Mita slowly crawled over to the prince and placed her hands on his palm like an elderly woman advising the young. “3rd prince… you don’t really hate Taishin do you?” KGYQIA

This scene which looked like something straight out of a movie, where he was the main character whose path was lost in life and his guide-mother found her way to him to stop him from straying moved him to tears. He nodded his head–again like a main character who was wronged.

“I just… I wanted to be friends with him. I never disliked him.” Tears pooled in his eyes and fell down in darn large drops of liquid. “But he called me a royal pain. I really only want to be friends with him.”

“Him too, Your Highness,” Hirotaka added quickly. “He too only wanted to be your friend.”

Anzu paused. Then sniffled as he said suspiciously, “Then why did he say that?” 1T6bJ2

Well shit. Hirotaka absolutely didn’t know his way out of this so he glossed over the details with a bullshit sob story.

“That…” Hirotaka wiped non-existent tears in his shirt as he said, “Taishin, unlike you–3rd Prince, has had a rough childhood. I can’t disclose personal details…” Because I don’t know them either, He thought. “But he’s not usually like that. He’s just in a pretty ‘tight’ situation where he’s unable to act on his urges.” Like say, strangling you for example. “And that’s why he said what he did.”

Anzu’s eyes widened by the moment and he immediately fell down on the ground, his shoulders slumping as the most significant realization of the century dawned on him. It was the most astronomical mystery he’d ever solved.

Taishin was jealous of him. d4slGO

Anzu choked back his sobs. He did not know much of the world but putting the two words, ‘rough childhood’, ‘personal details’ and ‘tight situation’ only screamed financial crisis in his royal context. And what could make someone so vengeful that they’d retaliate against someone as sweet, beautiful and loving like him? It was only indeed the startling difference between them, the sheer sense of jealousy.

Just thinking about how torturous it must have been for Taishin–this gap between them–broke his heart.

“You people go back.” He wobbled, his hair hiding the expression on his face. “Taishin will not have to go through this atrocity anymore–I’ll ask dad to stop with the complaint. I’m the one who started this menace, so I’ll correct it.”

  1. Anzu’s actions and reactions keep reminding me of Tamaki from Ouran high school host club (he was my fav character)😂 not the brightest but certainly the most entertaining
