About the reason why I changed from emperor to king, and empire to country, is mainly a gnawing idea birthed from my time working on PRRW (how there is a king that governs vessel state, and an empire that oversee the dynasty). Looking at individual character, king/王 is a rank lower than emperor/帝. Because there are many kings in this novel, they are more like sons of the emperor, rather than emperor themselves. Because of that, the earliest use of 國/country or land, in this context, is specially lands governed by the king/王, but country will be a more accurate term, and asking the other site owner to change the whole thing will take forever because I don’t have access to my projects.
In conclusion, this translator too ‘second year’ to use the cool-sounding translation over the more accurate translation, and moving it on CG will allow me to streamline any changes needed.
