In the hospital, a young man lay in a ward. His face was pale, and his body was covered in numerous large and small wounds, all wrapped in bandages. From a distance, he looked like a mummy, but no one felt like laughing. His condition was so miserable that even with bandages, fresh blood seeped through.
“Doctor, how is that child…?” A lady with delicate features stood at the door of the ward, her face filled with worry. Looking at the young man on the bed, though his face was injured, one could still vaguely see some resemblance to the lady outside.
“The patient’s condition is very stable, and there is no danger to his life. Please rest assured,” the doctor reassured her, seeing her anxious expression and understanding her concern for the patient.
“You can relax; he’s only unconscious temporarily due to excessive blood loss and head injury.”
