  19. Thanks for rushing this last chapter! I know we all wanted to know if Feng Ming got out – their happy ending is not a given but at least it has a chance now. I love Xue Junliang acknowledging that his Empress made him a better man. Maybe somewhere inside, he was worried about King Feng turning up in a new body if he was executed 😂.

    But – going to my comment before about the other couples… I didn’t think the author really took it at face value – that all females in Xue Country (Feng and Tang inclusive) could not compare to the strong male chromosome!! I cry for the dynasty.. all that hard work and no heir. The late Xue Emperor for sure was the last one to have so many male heirs (which they each fought among themselves) and the survivors all had a Autosomal dominant gay gene with strong hereditary penetrance, down to uncles and siblings.. where will Xue Pei pick a successor? 😭 (A bit let down by the extras…)

  25. I am glad Feng Ming is let go without having to see Xue Junliang and without having to surrender. Nice little detail author. With Feng Ming’s romantic heart, I guess he will be happy with Zhao Lu accompanying him in the future. I also don’t look down on Lu Shichen. He might had bend down his back but he didn’t do it willingly, but to save Feng Ming. I really like author distribution of side CP. XHY x TS, XJL x TY and ZL x FM, all had different flavours. And I loved that all 6 had different strengths and flaws.
