There isn’t a term for it except for someone providing ‘carrying service’, either for profit or for a friend. What stomped me is I really don’t know the term for the veteran players who are carrying less skilled players in a team. I know that boosters are people who play on lower-skilled players’ accounts in order to provide the latter benefits (get wins/items/achievements). Ended up using ‘carry’, since it means the player’s role where they are ultimately responsible for winning the game, and used it here because this guy is essentially carrying luggages (players) to win the game.

This translator doesn’t make up the slang here. The direct translation is ‘taking younger sister’, or ‘taking a chick’. In gaming, it means taking girl(s) to play games together, who are usually at lower rank or level. Does it have to be girls? Maybe not, since it meant being protected like a guy player protecting a girl player. So, it might not necessarily be a female player being protected, but I don’t play enough on the CN server to confirm this.
