Baobao did so quickly, obviously just as, if not more so, excited to find out what made the other think of him so much that he purchased it for him, spending his own money.
Huli Bao knew that Meng Yixuan’s Crystal earring had storage abilities, sure, the other had told him so himself in the secret realm. However, what he didn’t know was that it had other abilities too, like the magic multiplication one. Or the infinite loop one Meng Yixuan had discovered, which allowed it to completely stop time for all things inside, including people!!
Huli Bao smiled gratefully at the gift, instantly tying it to his sword’s sheath. “I’m afraid if I have it directly on my weapon I might break it. And, my sheath is an extension of the blade itself.” He explained upon seeing the other’s inquisitive gaze.
Meng Yixuan nodded, understanding. The story had once mentioned how the sheath had helped him take down his opponents when they were distracted, saving him from near death.
It went on to describe how his weapon was an incredibly rare one, which had somehow developed a dual consciousness instead of a single one.
Meng Yixuan nodded, watching as the other pulled out a similar sword tassel from his own storage pocket, except this one was a black and red one, matching the peak master’s own robes.
Huli Bao held the sword tassel out to him, “since you gave me yours, you can have mine. They match well and can be our symbols of friendship.” The sect master smiled kindly and winked as he said so.
Meng Yixuan took it and tied it directly to his Xiao Guang, knowing the other would protect it if need be.
The pearls at the centre of both tassels glowed softly for a second, emitting a soft hum before switching off. Meng Yixuan spotted it and was confused, but he didn’t mention it out loud and simply looked at the other.
“Where are you going?”
“To what will definitely become my worst nightmare.” Huli Bao didn’t even try to hide his true feelings, showing how much he trusted the other.
“Can I come?” Meng Yixuan instantly offered, “it might be more fun if I’m there!”
Huli Bao faltered for half a second before agreeing, absolutely certain he’d enjoy it more with the other there.
